Sunday Brunch at Tigress + Dinner at Manzoku Japanese Restaurant

TIGRESS is a Korean-fusion restaurant and gastro bar located at Orchard Gateway, level 3. The place had a great ambience with a pretty aesthetic feel, and is definitely a picturesque place for meetups and drinks. You’ll never run out of photo-worthy spots when visiting this eatery place!

We kept sayingdaebak’ the moment we entered the premises, as It boasts a tropical urban jungle with wooden furniture and a rustic setting.

We came for their weekend brunch which is from 11am – 3pm on both Saturdays and Sundays. We shared the TIGRESS PLATTER, which served up Gourmet Sausages, Streaky Beacon, Scrambled Eggs, a large Portobello Mushroom, Roasted Tomatoes, Tater Tots, and Kimchi on crusty bread - Crostini. The portion was pretty generous.

Apart from the platter, we also had the TIGRESS RIBEYE RICE BOWL which consisted of Rice, Sliced Charred Ribeye Bulgogi Meat, Scrambled Eggs, Mushroom, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Spring Onion, Kimchi, Sesame, Chili Flakes.

The well-marinated bulgogi meat and the caramelised onions went so well with the white rice. I really love the caramelised onions which added sweetness and the sautéed mushrooms offered an earthiness feel to the rice bowl. Lastly, the chili flakes helped to add some heat to the dish, which I really loved it!

We paired our meal with our favorite cocktail - Aperol Spritz. We fell in love with drink, the moment we tried it during our Italy holiday last year!

Never forget our all-time favorite Chai Latte too!

The highlight of our meal at TIGRESS was the Korean Honey Soy Fried Chicken. Each piece of chicken was perfectly prepared, as it was super delicious on the inside, while still crispy on the outside!

We were surprised that we didn’t feel jelak at all. I did think that the amount of flavor of the honey soy could have been a bit stronger.
