Beyond the Dough - Tokyo Neapolitan-Style Pizza + Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2024 + Donald Duck 90

I joined the Lee family for the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2024, and they came over to pick me up at my place. Thanks for the lift! I was so delightful to 'tumpang' their car to the Singapore Expo, where most of the participants boarded the shuttle bus to the starting point - SAF Field (Changi Village).

What I really enjoyed about the run, was having the opportunity to check out places that I normally wouldn't get to explore on my own. During the run, I ran past historical sights, and many of them were protected by fencing and barbed wires. 

My most exciting moment came when we were nearing the iconic Changi Prison Wall. It was the highlight of the run, as it only open exclusively to the public once a year for this run! Thus, it's no surprise to see the simultaneous selfie-ing by many racers going on during the run event. Oh yes, the sight of the Changi Prison Wall also signalled the end of the race so YAY!!

After the run, we headed to the race village held within the Changi Prison Complex to collect our finisher medals. Happy to complete our run, and here's us with our finisher medals! We felt exhausted but satisfied! 

While RenaGirl was preparing for her 700m Kid Dash, I left in advance as I had to catch the shuttle bus back to Singapore Expo to meet up with my Baby, as he was waiting for me to have breakfast together at Simpang Bedok! 


I absolutely love the finisher medal, and I am glad to add this to my race medal collection!!




Baby made a reservation at the presently trending pizzeria 'Beyond the Dough', which is located at Arab Street for our weekend lunch. We only managed to get a spot which was 1.5 months in advance for reservation! After a long wait, we are going for our pizza feast, and I was excited to check out the hype of this pizzeria place! 

My meal started with an Assortment of 3 Appetisers from the cold appetiser section which presents an omakase-style medley of starters as decided by the chef on the day based on the freshest availability. 


As for hot starter, we enjoyed the hearty Homemade Lasagna, which was served in a mini pot in an individual portion, and was limited to one order per customer. The taste and quality were top notch! 




We also shared a plate of fried chicken too, and it was nothing special to shout about! 

We ordered The Rampage, SG-exclusive flavor for our pizza.The spicy sauce base is made from over 100 prawns that are cooked for 20 hours and topped with chunks of minced prawn. It had right notes of savouriness, with a good bite from the chunky prawns, as well as a satisfying spicy kick.

If you are looking for a pizza specialty restaurant in Bugis area, Beyond The Dough is worth a try for pizza lovers. Prices are rather steep as compared to other pizza joints. Considering every pizza is lovingly made fresh by hand with fresh and quality ingredients, it is well-worth for the occasional splurge! Beyond the Dough would be a perfect choice for date night. The only downside is that the eatery place is pretty small as it is only a 28-seater, therefore big groups might need to split table. Therefore do keep your group size to less than 6 pax! 

I had a date with my Baby to visit Donald Duck and his friends as he is celebrating his 90th Anniversary in conjunction with the VivoCity Mid-Autumn Festival decorations. 


It is hard to believe that Donald Duck has turned 90, and we were invited to his birthday bash! 

VivoCity’s Sky Park has been transformed into a wonderland filled with illuminated displays to capture picture-perfect moments!

I took a photo with Donald’s gigantic birthday cake and joined him in the beach party vibes!

The whole area is full of Instagram-worthy installations that bring Walt Disney’s classic cartoon characters to life. 






After all, you’re never too old to relive childhood magic!
