[product review] Green Gold Brightening Retinol Ampoule + Bon Ugly Firming Kelp Capsule Ampoule

Retinol is often the gold standard when it comes to treating a wide range of skin concerns like acne, the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles, skin texture, skin tone, and even dark spots.

If you're a retinol beginner with sensitive skin, do try out the Green Gold Brightening Retinol Ampoule as K-beauty retinol formulas have evolved to become less irritating. This was the first retinol product I tried as I have been searching for a gentle retinol option for for sensitive skin. I do believe I have found one! It contains AloeVera Gel as one of the key ingredients, therefore, it is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.



This ampoule comes with a vibrating applicator which helps absorb the active ingredients. The texture of the product is pretty thick, but it absorbed quickly into the skin and left my skin very moisturised, hydrated and plump.



Apply an appropriate amount evenly to your cleansed face, turn on the high frequency button and slowly rub it into your entire face!


I prefer Korean products as their formulations are gentle and achieve results over time as opposed to products with harsh ingredients that give instant results. What is most important to me, is that I experienced no irritation at all after a week’s usage!

Gone are the days when skincare regimes involved one quick swipe of lotion/cream and you were good to go. It's no longer enough just to 'moisturize' the skin, now we need to amp up our routine with Ampoule Skincare!

The Bon Ugly Firming Kelp Capsule Ampoule has a dual function to target whitening and wrinkle issues at the same time! This product is a real life-giving elixir for uneven skin tones. It has a noticeable lifting effect, tightening and restoring a clear face.

I admit that I was attracted to this cute stumpy bottle! As someone who is constantly searching for products which offer firming and reduction in wrinkles,I laid my eyes on it instantly!

The lightweight texture spreads incredibly nice on the skin. Surprisingly, my skin felt nourishing more than hydrating.

The Firming Kelp Capsule Ampoule is infused with a ton of goodies, and I was glad to be introduced to this product into my beauty routine. I have been using it twice daily for a about a week without experiencing any adverse effects. 

Although the ampoule is nice to use, it definitely doesn’t have the capacity to produce any dramatic results on my skin, such as evening out my skin-tone. In short, the ampoule is a nice product to use and I enjoyed having it in my skin care routine. However, I personally don’t think we should be banking on this to stimulate firming effect or returning any youth to our skin.
