[food review] One Pot Chicken + 8degrees
Recently I visited the first conveyor styled restaurant serving Mookata, Lala Pot and Chicken Pot, and it's located at Yishun.
We also helped ourselves to the self-served chiller area with a selection of greens, mushrooms and food items to further alleviate the dining experience with their all-rounded and balanced menu.
They offered cooked snacks too! We had some Fried Chicken Nuggets while waiting for our hotpot to get served to us!
At the eatery, one can also order some additional ingredients to 'throw into the chicken pot, steamboat style! We did just that by ordering various ingredients, such as tang hoon, fishballs, potatoes slices, an assortment of mushrooms/vegetables, instant noodles, lala and baby corn! I felt that the Lala gave the soup an extra flavor! The chicken meat chunks were super tender and well infused with the sauce! You can also choose the level of spiciness for your chicken pot, and we chose the Mild Spicy version for our lunch.
The chicken meat chunks were super tender and well infused with the sauce! Rich and umami! Very delicious! We can easily eat two big bowls of white rice with just with the chicken pot sauce.
I loved the dining environment, as it is an air-conditioned place. I felt comfortable even though I was having hotpot for lunch! This is a good dining option for groups if you are looking for something casual and affordable!

We went to 8degrees 八度空间- 人文茶馆 for a Taiwanese fix for dinner with Meryl and her hubby. They opened a new outlet in Jalan Besar, along Foch Road. You can also find their other outlets at Sembawang and Kovan.
They offer classic Taiwanese dishes, drinks and desserts, with the most notable aspect being the affordable prices! Everything on the menu looks yummy,
The Scallion Pancake was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It comes with a fragrance dipping sauce, which enhanced the pancake even better!
The Pork Belly Rice is possibly the most comforting Taiwanese dish. It comes with a generous serving of braised pork belly, an egg and shredded pickles.
We were lucky to get a table upon reaching the premises, and all our food items were served within 15 minutes of ordering! Overall, the service was pretty decent, and I will recommend my friends to this eatery place and bring my family to try their food.
