Affordable Art Fair (AAF) 2024 + School of Tomorrow
Last year, we missed out on the Affordable Art Fair (AAF). We were not in Singapore, as we were in Los Angeles for our year-end vacation. We were glad that we were able to visit the return of Affordable Art Fair (AAF) this November 2024.
This year, I got complimentary passes again all thanks to the Affordable Art Fair (AAF)! It was held at the F1 Pit Building. Baby is an art lover, and he somehow got me into the arts scene after we got together. We always relish the opportunity to view art, and therefore this was a not-to-be missed event for us!
We had a splendid afternoon at the art fair, and we felt that this year's instalment was so much bigger as compared to the previous ones!
Baby and I enrolled ourselves to the School of Tomorrow which is located at New Bahru. No registration is required, it's free enrolment to the 'school'. We learnt about sustainability in an immersive manner for our Mother Earth’s brighter future through the exhibition.
The School of Tomorrow exhibition is a great start to know more
about environmental issues and the steps or actions that need to be taken to
develop more sustainable solutions for planet earth.
The Art Classroom is interactive, and all are welcomed to pick up a brush to paint freely in their own colours. Botanical debris such as fallen leaves, flowers or even tree bark have been turned into paint pigments that can be used for painting in class.
Mathematics is not everyone’s favourite subject, I don’t like it either, but somehow rather it has become directly relevant to everyone!
I love this exhibit the most, as it looks like a flood due to
climate change, which can dramatically raise sea levels and cause coastlines
erosion!
In school, everyone loves the recess break! ‘Red Alert’ ~ These
are for the daring ones! How does roasted larvae or crickets sound to you?
These sustainable foods may soon be on the menu for the School of Tomorrow.
Lastly, exclusive merch was being sold at the school’s bookshop. Do bring back the memories if you enjoyed going to the School of Tomorrow.
