[service review] Scalp treatment at CYL

CYL recently launched their brand-new two-in-one Japanese hair technology featuring hair extensions and scalp treatments. The salon is located in the heart of Singapore at Clarke Quay Central Mall, and has a comfortable, friendly and cozy salon and spa environment. It is the first in Singapore to offer custom-blended formulations to target your hair’s very specific hair needs.

The hair extension is a boon for those who face problems such as damaged hair or thin hair. For CYL’s hair extension, each strand of fibre hair is woven using a Japanese technique. The hair extension weighs lighter than human hair, and as such customers will not feel any extra or uncomfortable weight while wearing it. The hair boasts special heat resistance of up to 170 degrees Celsius, and as such, the styled hair extensions can keep its shape for the entire day! CYL’s hair extension boasts a natural-looking finish that resembles real hair. It is highly durable, and the artificial hair is soft and luscious which can be dyed and permed just like human hair.

For the Scalp treatment, it is all depend on the condition of the scalp, CYL’s therapists will recommend either a tonic and scalp mask, or a natural clay healing treatment. The customised blend of tonic and scalp mask is made with premium plant-based ingredients that are free from sulphates and parabens. The salon claims that the treatment will have long-lasting results!

Meryl and I were delighted to attend the CYL’s Japanese Hair Technology Media Launch, and we were both offered to try their newly launched serviceof the scalp treatment and hair extensions. In the end, both of us decided to go for the scalp treatment instead. It has been a long time since we indulged ourselves for a nice scalp treatment.

Our visit began with a thorough scanning and analysis of our scalps, hair and determining our lifestyle needs prior to heading to the treatment room.

The therapist will then work basis on the results to custom create a bespoke formula using potent botanical essences most suited to one's needs!

We started off the treatment with a welcome ritual shoulder massage and the therapist used a paddle brush comb our hair to stimulate our scalp follicles. After that, they applied the formulated mask to our hair.

Our hair was then given a wash after 10 minutes. After the wash, the therapist applied serum to our hair and followed this up with a relieving scalp massage.

After washed, the therapist applied serum to our hair and follow by a relieving scalp massage. They used infrared therapy as part of the treatment, as it helps to simulate blood circulation and increase cellular nutrients to hair follicles. Lastly, before we left the salon, our hair was professionally blown dry.

My scalp has significantly improved after this treatment!

I really enjoyed this treatment as it helped to nourish, and restore the pH natural balance levels of my hair and scalp. This was also in conjunction with strengthening and repairing my hair and scalp!

Thanks for having us, CYL (:
