Official Opening Night of the Hit Broadway Musical Aladdin

The Hit Broadway Musical Aladdin has landed at the Marina Bay Sands, and you are guaranteed an awesome show that contains beautiful song pieces, glittering costumes and jaw-dropping sets that bring out the magic of the fantasy city of Agrabah! Singapore is the ONLY Asian stop for this show, hence do NOT give the show a miss! This musical will definitely leave a deep impression in Singapore's Musical Scene! 


The show is reminiscent of the 1992 original animated Disney film of the same name, and opens with the song 'Arabian Nights'! Aladdin's journey will take the audience into an exotic world full of daring adventures, classic comedy and timeless romance! This Broadway Musical keeps the magic of Disney's Aladdin alive for a whole new generation. 

 
Like the Disney animated film, the play tells the story of a young man with a kind heart, who comes into possession of a magical lamp containing a genie that grants three wishes! The plot is fairly similar, but with some minor twists/changes. Abu the monkey is obviously not in the play, but the role is divided to 3 other friends instead.
 
 
 
Most of the songs from the original animated film remain, but the play has some additional original songs as well. Sing along with the Oscar winning Best original score -'A Whole New World' with Aladdin (starring Graeme Isaako) and Princess Jasmine (played by Shubshri Kandiah). Gareth Jacobs plays the role of the Genie, and his stage performance was awesomely amazing.

 
I was especially impressed by the magic carpet scene, as I thought it was done very well. It appeared to float around the stage! This scene was so beautiful, as Aladdin and Jasmine were singing and 'soaring' through the stage full of stars!
 

 
Hop on with Aladdin and Princess Jasmine and take a ride through the wonders of the Broadway musical, Aladdin, and discover a whole new world for a limited time only from now till the 01-Sept 2019 at the Mastercard Theatres, Marina Bay Sands. 

 
The moral of the the show Aladdin is to always stay honest, genuine and to keep one's promises! It was truly a passionate magical carpet ride, and I was glad to be part of the journey! I had the pleasure to attend the Official Opening Night of 'Aladdin The Musical' all thanks to Base Entertainment Asia. [Nights with Netflix] Screening of Next Gen

Thanks Hpility , for extending your invite to me to attend the 'Nights with Netflix' event. This event was to check out Netflix's Singapore office, as well as to catch a special preview of an awesome screening! photo credits to hpility.sg   Netflix Singapore's office is located at Marina One West Tower , and it looked splendid! How I wish I could work in such a wonderful environment! The pantry looks just like an eatery place, and was well stocked with drinks, snacks and even cup noodles!   Nextflix won the global rights to stream the movie 'Next Gen' , and this newly animated movIe debuts on the 7th of September 2018 .  'Next Gen' is a family-friendly movie with pretty good computer animated visuals for a non-Disney/ Pixar/ DreamWorks production.     This film, 'Next Gen' was based on a short online comic from the Chinese Multimedia Company 'Baozou' .
