[food lovers] BKK Bistro & Bar + Bulgogi Syo + Fujiwara Tofu Shop + Eat 3 Bowls (呷三碗)

Both Baby and I went to BKK Bistro & Bar for dinner. It used to be known previously as Orto's famous 80-cent Thai Boat Noodles. They are now located at Kallang Bahru. The portions of the affordable Thai boat noodles are pretty small, therefore we had about 3 bowls each to ourselves.

Baby also ordered a regular plate of Spicy Basil Minced Pork Rice, and it was delicious.

We added some sides like Moo Ping, Thai Fish Cake, Tofu with ChickenFloss and more to go with our boat noodles.

The Deep-Fried Tofu Topped with Chicken Floss served with Mayonaise Sauce might look pretty ordinary and basic, but the texture of the tofu was perfect. The mayonnaise sauce enhanced the overall flavor!

We will be back for their Mama Hotpot soon...

Baby and I met up with my kid brother and his family at The Woodleigh Mall for lunch, and I felt this mall is pretty decent for families with young children. We had lunch at Bulgogi Syo, and as usual for many Korean restaurants(, they offer a free-flow of banchan! They even have an ongoing 1-for-1 promotion for Terra Beer!

Bulgogi Syo uses a curated three-step Hot-stone Grilling technique concept from Korea – Sear, Torch and Flambé.

We were definitely impressed by the Flambé which brought the theatre of gastronomy right in front of us by pouring a heated special essence which contained alcohol onto the meats!

If you are looking Insta-worthy dining experience with delicious food, then do not miss out on Bulgogi Syo!

Together with my usual clique, we went to Singapore's 1st 'Initial D inspired' Japanese bistro which is located at the Geylang area.

When you visit the Fujjiwara Tofu Shop, you obviously need to order tofu, so we ordered 3 plates of their signature tofu. Each piece of tofu was topped with peppers and spices which had a similar texture to a fish cake, and tasted pretty much like a Chinese dish.

My final thoughts on the place are to keep your expectations low, and you'll be pleasantly surprised by the taste. Oh well, it is better to try it yourself once than to hear about it numerous times!

I end my post with recent dinner with my usual clique - Eat 3 Bowls (三碗).

Both Baby and I totally enjoyed the Braised Pork Rice and Intestine Mee Sua. Will we come back? Definitely for their Braised Pork Rice which makes us be drool over for, we will be back for sure!
