[AFF Singapore 2014] Audi Star Creation 2013 - Capsule Collection

I was invited to attend the capsule collection of two designers who won the region-wide fashion competition, Audi Star Creation 2013 and they showcased their collection at Tent@Orchard, Audi Fashion Festival 2014.


After a year-long internship with luxury retailer FJ Benjamin, winners of Audi Star Creation 2013, Vu Ta Linh from Vietnam and Sun Yi Jin from China presented their capsule collections at Audi Fashion Festival 2014.

Last year, Vietnam's Vu Ta Linh won the judges' hearts through his skillful weaving, stitching and embroidery on his women's collection.


During the Audi Fashion Festival 2014, Vu Ta Linh showcased his collection, 'Indigo' which features various shades of colors. The collection successfully encapsulated elements of the traditional Vietnam costume, the Ao Dai.



Sun Yi Jin from China won her spot last year with her strong heritage of China costumes representing 56 ethnic groups, but yet still being able to bring out the modern look at the same time.  



Chinese native Sun Yijin presented the change of season at Tent@Orchard, and she titled her collection as 'Winter', with a series of color palate of white, grey and black which is commonly associated with winter season. Her collection includes the colors of bright orange and pine green as it combines the tropical elements in Singapore with China's seasonal climate.
