[preview screening] House of Cards at The Screening Room

I attended an exclusive preview screening of the House of Cards with 2 others, Terence and Jasmine at The Screening Room before its debut on RTL CBS Entertainment HD Channel on MioTV.

 
This time round, we were in for a treat, as we watched 2 episodes of 'House of Cards' which runs for about 45-60 minutes per episode. We indulged ourselves with food and drink while watching the top-rated political drama in US.

 
House of Cards is an American political drama television Series which set in Washington, DC. House of Cards is the story of Frank Underwood (starring Kevin Spacey) who is appointed as the Secretary of State, imitates an elaborate plan to get himself into a position of power. The series is primarily about ruthless manipulation, power and doing bad things for the greater good.

 
House of cards stars Academy Award-winner Kevin Spacey and Golden Globe Winner Robin Wright who play the role of Congressman Underwood and Claire respectively.
 
House of Cards has earned several awards which including Robin Wright's Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Drama, Emmy Awards for Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series and Outstanding Cinematography for a Single -Camera Series. Lastly, it was also honored as one of the American Film Institute’s TV Programs of the Year for 2013.

This is a splendid production with top notch casting. The script is sharp and engaging, but most importantly, the characters are interesting and well developed.
