[FOOD GEMS] Village Park Restaurant + Aoki Tei

Why do I love heading to Subang Jaya? It's because I can find a wide variety of delicious food within this humble town!

Uncle Mike normally never fails to bring us to our favorite food joint for Bak Kut teh (BKT) for brekkie, but during my most recent trip, we were in for a surprise! We were about to have the tastiest, and dare I say it? The most awesome Nasi Lemak I've ever tasted in my life!

Village Park Restaurant is located at Damansara and they are famous for their signature Nasi Lemak. This eatery place is run by a Chinese-Muslim husband and wife. It is a well-known eatery place by the locals to have their Nasi Lemak fix, as well as a place frequented by many celebrities, VIPS and politicians. Even the Prime Minister of Malaysia has been here!

This eatery place is always crowded during lunch and dinner hours, therefore, go early or patronize the place only during odd hours in order to beat the crowds.

Although the presentation looks simple, the plate of Nasi Lemak tastes awesome! Each grain of rice is infused with the amazing flavour of coconut, and compliments the succulent and juicy tender Fried Chicken Leg (Ayam goreng berempah)! The dish also comes with a hard boiled egg and yummy/crispy ikan bills sambal!

Each plate costs RM9, and it is one of THE best Nasi Lemak I've ever had the joy of eating. I will definitely request Uncle Mike to bring me back again for brekkie during my next visit!

The service was friendly and efficient, despite the large throngs of people. Apart of the Nasi Lemak, the eatery place also offers a wide variety of additional for add-ons, such as Beef Rendang, Sayur Lodeh, Bergedil, which are just to name a few.

During my stay in Subang Jaya, we had an advance Father's Day celebration dinner at Aoki Tei. It is located at Sunway Nexis, and is also the hottest Japanese Buffet Restaurant in town. Reservation is highly recommended on weekends.

The a la Carte Buffet featured over 80 dishes (included drinks/desserts/beer/sake) and everything can be ordered from the menu without limitation.

The Crystal Platter which comes with 8 different kinds of Sashimi was extremely popular among all of us during our dinner, and we had several rounds of it.

We also had Jumbo Platter with 5 kinds of sashimi too.

Ikura Chawanmushi was Baby's favorite!

Saba Shioyaki was a let-down as the skin was not as crispy as what it should be like.

I love the Cheese Baked Oysters very much!

We were pleased and the experience was pretty good and worth every cent spent! Service was pretty decent too, and the damage was RM80++ per person. While this offer is already very good, it's made even better because there is a free flow of Beer and Japanese Sake as well!
