[PJ, Malaysia] Dinner at Little Heritage House

Nothing gets better than having a weekend getaway to KL. Baby drove in to Malaysia on a super early Sunday morning. We arrived Kuala Lumpur at around 9+, and it was just nice for breakfast. We had our usual Bak Kut Teh at Chuan Chiew which is located at Subang Jaya.

After we were done with our brekkie, we left our Foresty for servicing at the workshop, and borrowed Uncle Mike's car to Sunway Pyramid to some shopping and Pokémon hunting! I picked up a black top from Padini Concept Store at only RM19, a pair black skorts which cost RM39, as well as some random hair accessories.

We had afternoon tea at Full House which is located at Sunway Pyramid.

We shared a yummy dessert, Panna Cotta, and it tasted pretty good!

Apart from the dessert, we had Popcorn Chicken too. The damage was RM42 with a pot of Rooibos Tea.

We had dinner with a group of about 8 people at a Perankan place called 'Little Heritage House'. It is located at a quiet neighbourhood of Section 17, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

This eatery place not only serves authentic Nonya cuisines, but is a Nonya Heritage site with many Nonya artefacts, photos, and books.

We started of with Aca Rampai and a glass of Nutmeg Cooler, which to me, was extremely expensive. Each glass wasRM9! What a hefty price to pay!

We had the sharing Appetiser Platter which consists of Popiah Goreng, Chicken Meat Roll, Cucur Udang and Keraba Prawns.

We shared a plate of Nasi Ulam and Ayam Ponteh.

Sambal Kang Kong

Sambal Grilled Brinjal

I love the Sotong Petai very much, and I love this unique dish as it had a very special aroma that was induced by the stinky beans!

Apart from the above, we also had Nonya Beef Rendang, Assam Tumis - Stingray, Steamed Otak Otak and Jiew Hu Char.

The setting of the restaurant is undeniable beautiful, but the food was overrated. The damage was MIND-BLOWING even though it was in Malaysian Ringgit. The total damage was RM600. What a shocking price tag!!! The restaurant does serve decent food but the price-wise is very pricey , and I doubt I will come back again. Ivins in Singapore is more value for money!

Before I left KL on Sunday afternoon, I went to Da:Men USJ to do some additional shopping. I visited the SHP Gallery, The trendsetter of Asian Lifestyle Fashion as they were having 70% discount.

I picked up the nautical line sling bag at only RM28 after discount, and it comes with straps to allow it to be transformed into a haversack. I also purchased a off-shoulders black top at RM48. I love shopping in Da:Men USJ as there are many blog-shop retailers located within the mall.
