[shout-out] Run For Wildlife - Safari Zoo Run 2017

Have you paid a visit to the Singapore Zoo lately? If it has been a long time since your last visit, why not take the opportunity to do so with the upcoming Safari Zoo Run 2017 on the 18th February 2017, Saturday morning!


The Safari Zoo Run 2017 is a fun-filled animal-themed run for families, friends and even loved ones. This year, participants can choose to run for an endangered species of their choice and to raise awareness for wildlife conservation. 

 The 4 endangered species animal icons are: 
 Canola the Manatee - supporting aquatic mammals 
 Ah Meng the Orangutan - supporting Sumatran orangutans
Chawang the Asian Elephant - supporting Sumatran elephants 
 Sunny the Hornbill - supporting helmeted hornbills


Apart from the 4 animal icons, there is also 4 race categories to choose from that are suited everyone to join in the run.

5.5km Safari Zoo Family Run 
 2.5km Safari Zoo Family Dash
2.5km Safari Zoo Kids Dash

The Safari Zoo Run is very popular among children, and if you have kids, do bring them to join in the run, as I am pretty sure they will love this race very much! 
This is my first ever Safari Zoo Run, and I am feeling very excited! I look forward to do my part to show awareness for the wildlife. 


All runners get free entry into the Singapore Zoo as well as the River Safari (only at 12.30pm onwards) during the race day. This is your chance if you haven't been to the River Safari before. For me, it has been 3 years of hiatus since my last visit. I am so happy now, as I want to visit the Singapore famous giant pandas, Jia Jia and Kai Kai again! 

For the Safari Zoo 2017, I will be running with my partner, and this marks our 4th race together. I am pretty sure we are going to spend good quality time exploring the Singapore Zoo and River Safari together. 
On the endangered wildlife support effort, I am giving my heart to the elephants while my running partner has chosen to protect the orangutans. YES, I want to be part of Team Chawang!
