Gala Premiere of 2359: THE HAUNTING HOUR + True Yoga - Yoga in the Gardens

Thanks MM2 Entertainment for the Gala Premiere tickets to 2359: THE HAUNTING HOUR which premiered on National Day (08/09).

The movie mostly takes place during three different eras of National Service, as evidenced by the different uniforms worn in each story.

The first short story - 'Temasek Green' is about an incident that occured in 1967, where 3 recruits escape from a training camp due to their abusive sergeant, but end up trapped in a cursed village.

Next is 'Camouflage' which takes place in 1985. It follows a group of commandos who encounter many bizarre incidents in camp after they are cursed by a vengeful python spirit.

Lastly, 'Pixelated' takes place in the present, where a socially awkward recruit creates a fake girlfriend on social media to impress his peers. However, his facade eventually puts his life in big danger

The movie kicked off with a good tone of a horror film, but unfortunately I felt it went downhill from there. The second story was more of a comedy, and the horror mood was destroyed. It seemed like a wrong target audience to go for on a horror movie.

In my opinion, the final story is totally not related to the army, as most of the scenes took place online and at civilian areas which made the story seem out of place. The last story actually had the potential to be very interesting, but only if it was well-elaborated. It was kinda creepy to communicate with a stranger through a mobile chat, but the most frightening part of the horror movie to me unfortunately was the wasted potential.

The abruptness of the ending did not do the movie any favors, as I thought it was badly done. On a whole, 2359: THE HAUNTING HOUR feels disjointed. The strongest parts are the start of the movie. I feel that the movie should have been released as a short film based on the first story instead of letting it being watered down by the 2 unrelated tales.

Yoga has become a very popular workout in Singapore and I have been practicing yoga pretty regularly nowadays due to the many invitations from many events that feature a healthy lifestyle.

True Yoga celebrated National Day in the gardens this year, by organising a yoga session, 'Yoga in the Gardens' which was held at the Supertree Grove, Gardens by the Bay. I was really looking forward to meet up for this event with my two good buddies! We met up super early in the morning at BayFront Station, for a mandatory wefie of the trio of us!

Upon reaching, we registered ourselves at the registration booth, and we found a good  spot to lay our yoga mat to prepare for our yoga session. We started our mornings with an invigorating yoga session led by an experienced True Yoga instructor.

The 1-hour continuous yoga movements left me feeling pretty exhausted, and I was sweating so much in the open air area. The movements were meant for beginners but it was still a significant challenge for me. Although it was a pretty tiring and hectic workout, I felt that my body had been detoxified and the session helped me to shed some fats away! I had a delightful 1-hour workout.

We were given a pack of yogurt drink courtesy from one of the sponsors, Farmers Union. Of course, thanks to the sponsors of the event for the bag of goodies!

We took a nice group photo with the lovely background of Singapore's Skyline!
