[Birthday Staycation] 2D1N at W Hotel Singapore

It is impossible to travel this year due to the world-wide COVID-19 pandemic situation. Staycation and visiting local attractions now seem to be another way to eliminate the stress away from our hectic lifestyles/schedules.

This time last year, we had travelled to Seattle/Portland to celebrate Baby’s birthday. We had made plans to re-visit the United States for his birthday this year. However, COVID-19 ruined our plans, so I decided to give him a good staycation for his birthday celebration.

I was very close to booking Marina Bay Sands, as the room package attracted me and the room looked lovely on photo too. However, I did not want a metropolis feel. Therefore, I decided to go with W Hotel Singapore instead.

Thanks Little Flower Hut for hand-delivering the 'masculine bouquet' as part of the Birthday Celebration. Thanks for the awesome collaboration!

I took many random photos of Birthday boy with his new birthday’s kicks! Thanks The Little Flower Hut once again for the flowers which allowed me to surprise him at the hotel too!

W Hotel is the one of the many hotels tucked away in the more exclusive corners at Sentosa Cove. Set in a lush greenery and coastal setting, you will feel rather away from home! The check-in time was at 3pm, but we were delighted to collect our room before 2pm.

Upon entering the room, we were greeted by a decor of balloons! The room was spacious, but personally, I still prefer the room at Fullerton Bay Hotel. I was pretty surprised that the connection of Wi-Fi in the room required no password, and it ran TREMENDOUSLY FAST and steadily.

I went over to the bathroom and found that all the toiletries offered were from MOMO and Skin Regimen by Davines.

They were replenished daily as well! Apart from the toiletries, we also felt pampered by the other hotel amenities provided by the hotel too.

Our room package included a bottle of champagne - Moët & Chandon. It was kinda too much for the 2 of us to polish it off, but the birthday boy managed to do it happily! The hotel was so kind to send us a mini birthday cake too!

Baby is a type of person who does not love crowds and that is why I never throw him any big birthday celebration or party. All he wants is just a simple and low-key celebration, where even a nice dinner will make him content, but I do believe having surprises at times will be lovely too!

We enjoyed the relaxation on the hammock, and we took some wefies too!

For this room package, SGD50 dining credits were credited for our indulgence during our stay with them, and we decided to use it for dinner after our swim!

We settled for our dinner at The Kitchen Table, and we were served some complimentary bread once we were seated. We started off with some Spring Rolls, and they tasted so delicious!

We shared Chicken Broth with Vermicelli, Chorizo Pizza and Grilled Herbs Chicken served with Fries and salad. The total damage came up to almost SGD100, and after the credits deducted, we only paid half the amount.

I personally feel that you can have better choices for dining options at the restaurants at Quayside Isle which is just a stone’s throw away from the hotel.

Our stay was inclusive of breakfast, and I must say the selection was pretty good and wide. Now that buffet spreads are not allowed and ala carte ordering is the new norm, you can make your orders by scanning the QR code to obtain the menu.

We made about 3-4 rounds of re-ordering food! I personally still prefer the traditional buffet, whereby I get to walk around thinking/looking on what to eat next!

Sadly, we had to check out after our breakfast but amazingly we were given a late check out by the hotel upon request! The service provided by W Hotel was awesome, and Baby said he wouldn't mind coming back again as he liked this hotel very much!

Thanks for the welcome gifts which were attached to the balloons and also for making our stay a truly pleasurable one!
