[café-hopping] Café Monochrome + Chye Seng Huat Hardware (CSHH) + Space Box

A re-visit to Café Monochrome which is located at 216 Syed Alwi Road with my ex-colleagues who have now been upgraded to close friends!

The café bears a black and white interior that is akin to a flat 2D comic like/illustration photo!

We ordered a Smoked Salmon Cream Pasta, Soft Shell Crab Pasta and the Yuzu Butter Chicken.

For sides, we had the 'Monochrome' Platter which consists of Soft Shell Crab, Bacon, Sausages, Mentaiko Fries and Chicken Wings/drumlets.

The damage was about SGD35 per person, and thanks for the company, as I enjoyed myself very much! We talked and shared about everything under the sun for the good 3-hour meet up! More outings and gatherings soon please!

Chye Seng Huat Hardware, or simply CSHH, is currently one of the most hip cafes in Singapore, and from the outside, CSHH looks like an old hardware store which is located along Tyrwhitt Road. You will be surprised to find yourself in a chic and classy haven/café when you enter the premises!

The café offers both indoor and outdoor dining.

The CSHH is simplistically quaint and rustic, and they offer a wide selection of pastries and desserts and even mains!

We ordered a Chocolate Banana Cake and a Blueberry Lavender Cake. Both of us prefer the Blueberry Lavender Cake, as the texture is moist and the taste was perfectly enhanced by the aroma of the lavender.

We rounded up our afternoon tea with a pot of Blue Earl, and the damage was SGD23! I love the vibes of CSHH and I think it is a great place to chill out with friends and loved ones!

Finally, Baby visited the Space Box where I had already been there twice. Once was with S, and the other was with M & the Lee Family! This space-themed bar/bistro is located opposite Aljunied MRT Station which served awesome and delicious, but yet affordable BBQ skewers!

Their Cze Char items were pretty good too! I'm glad that Baby had a pleasant dining experience at Space Box!
