[food review] Fish Soup Paradise at Kitchener Road

Have you tried the famous Telok Ayer Teochew Fish Soup, which is now currently named as Fish Soup ParadiseThey started from humble beginnings at Telok Ayer Street and lately expanded their shops at both Kitchener Road and Republic Plaza.

I was invited to one of their fairly new outlets - Kitchener Road to try out their umami taste of the fish broth which was prepared with freshly sourced ingredients based on a decades old recipe. The soup was brewed with fish bones for over 6 hours, and patrons can purchase the pre-packed soup base for home-dining indulgence.

Apart from dining in, they also offer a wide selection of choices in their menu, which also has island-wide home delivery. Delivery is free for purchases over SGD60.

What I like most about this fish soup is that no MSG and preservatives are added for additional flavoring, and this is definitely a healthier choice for all of us! They are also the first to introduce Teochew Fish Soup in home-cook packs that bring cooking easier for many homes in Singapore!

Fish Soup Paradise will do great in warming you up on a rainy day. It is also ideal if you are craving for a rich and refreshing bowl of Bak Kut Teh Soup to go with your rice!

Aside from fish soup, they also offer Claypot Sesame Chicken and Homemade Seafood Balls.

I really enjoyed their Claypot Sesame Chicken, and the bite-sized chicken chunks were extremely tender and flavorful. The gravy went so well with the white rice.

I also recommend their Homemade Seafood Balls as a side dish. It is a Teochew delight, for those who enjoy it, they would know that good ones are hard to come by! The ones here are homemade and deep-fried, hence it is bound to be a crowd-pleaser!

Before the end of our tasting, we were asked to select 4 broth packs and the Homemade Seafood Balls to bring home. The prices for the broth packs were surprisingly affordable, and these yummy broth packs are great for steamboat!

Fish Soup Paradise is the perfect choice for this forthcoming Mother’s Day celebration. It opens at 9am to 8pm daily, so pop by if you want to have lunch or an early dinner!
