3D2N getaway to KL

I had a short getaway (3D2N) to Kuala Lumpur (KL) on a weekend by Scoot!! Our flight was 9-ish in the morning, and we reached the airport around 730pm on a Friday morning. The moment we landed in KLIA2, it was time for brunch.

As usual, Daddy Mike picked up us from the airport, and we still maintained our usual habit of having Bak Kut Teh for our breakfast. The joint that we normally go to is Restoran Chuan Chiew! This eatery is at Subang Jaya SS14, and if you are nearby, do give it a try!

We checked in to the Sunway Pyramid Hotel for 2 nights’ stay. We were upgraded as the previous room given to us wasn't up to mark. Thankfully, the upgraded room was spacious and clean.

The view from our room!

After dropping our bags off, we went for some shopping at Sunway Pyramid, and Baby picked up some clothes from Padini and Sport Direct while I got myself a t-shirt dress and a romper from Forever21. I paid  RM120 for these two items as they were on sale!

It was been a long hiatus since we saw Daddy Mike, therefore to celebrate this milestone, we brought the folks to a somewhat classy Italian restaurant - Verona Trattoria which is located PJ, Selangor - a quiet neighborhood for dinner.

I love the appetizer dish - Fried Button Mushroom very much! The Calamari Ring tasted decent, and some praise could be given to it!

The next day, our room stay was inclusive of breakfast, so we headed down to the Resort Café to enjoy the buffet spread! I was feeling pretty emotional when I realized that the whole buffet process was executed as per pre-pandemic days! We could walk around and pick up the food that we fancied instead of having someone serve it to us!

After our breakfast, we continue our shopping at Sunway Pyramid and we settled for lunch at Go Noodle House. This eatery place serves different types of delicious noodles.

We went to 'Da:Men', a lifestyle shopping mall that houses some nice restaurants for a nice dining experience. We went for our afternoon tea at Nam Heong Ipoh.

Our dinner was sumptuous at night in KL, where we experienced the hawker-feel in Malaysia!

We went to Restoran Ahwa, which is located in PJ, Selangor. The KL Fried Hokkien Mee and the Cuttlefish with Kang Kong were splendid which made my trip worth-while.

Our last day in Malaysia started with our breakfast at the Resort Café. The buffet spread was almost similar as compared to our first day's brekkie.

We checked out around 1pm, and we drove straight down to the 1-Utama Shopping Mall to do more shopping. We had our lunch at Canton-I.

As our flight back to Singapore was around 9+ at night, we had a simple and early dinner with the folks before catching our flight! Thanks Daddy Mike for the lovely ride back to the airport. This concludes my 3D2N getaway to KL!
