[France Summer Vacation] Day 03: Exploring the city of Paris + Oysters Indulgence at Huîtrerie Régis

We woke up around 7am and prepared ourselves for our first outing! After having our breakfast at the hotel, we made our way to Place de la Concorde by foot. It was about a 10-minute walk from our hotel.

We took some random photos at Place de la Concorde. It is one of the most majestic spots in Paris, and it is a picture opportunity you won't regret taking.

The Place de la Concorde connects to the Jardin des Tuileries, and it is one of Paris’s most popular green spaces. It also links up to the Lourve Museum and it is an ideal place for people who want to take a stroll.

This free public park is a must-see, and I enjoyed walking down the main avenue which had a long tree line as well as many sculptures!

We then made use of our museum pass again to enter the Louvre Museum, Musée du Louvre, and it is still the most-visited museum in the world. This art museum holds over 35,000 artworks spread across 75,000 square feet.

The Louvre Museum is rightfully famous for one of the most recognizable masterpieces - the Mona Lisa, and many tourists come here just to take a glimpse of this splendid artwork! The Louvre offers a wealth of history lessons, and this was incredibly fascinating for me!

After exiting the museum, we went for some refreshments at Ladurée. We had Pistachio Cake and teas at the café premises, and we did a take-away of some macarons too!

We took the metro to Boulevard St.-Germain for some oyster indulgence! Baby’s bestie, N introduced us this eatery place - Huîtrerie Régis where they offer season raw or chilled seafood, including yummy local oysters, clams, shrimps and cockles. Do note, they do not have hot  food options.

Huitrerie Régis is definitely legit, and the oysters are spectacular. It has become one of my favorite spot for oysters, and I will definitely be back here the next time I come back to Paris!

We continued to shop at St.-Germain after our oyster fix. I picked up a pair of shoes from Le Coq Sportif for €115. I really love them very much, and I wore them immediately the next day!

This was how my surrounding view looked like from my hotel, although the sky was still bright and sunny, but the time was 8pm when these photos were taken. Stay tuned for my next outing in this beautiful city of Paris…
