Celebrate TOGETHERNESS with APBS
I had the pleasure of attending the press conference at China One, Clarke Quay all thanks to Alfred who invited me and confirmed my fellow blogger friends' attendance to attend this conference...
The theme for the Lunar New Year 2012 celebration for Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore (APBS) is to tie back the basic essence of 聚 (togetherness). This is a traditional practice that reunites all family members and friends to spend quality time with one another on this special festive day.
2012 is the Dragon year....Among the Chinese, the dragon has traditionally been an auspicious symbol, therefore APBS encourages the movement of good fortune, good health to all their friends and family..
Some random pictures with my friends, Sweetie & Valentine...
The drinks were served non-stop to the attendee, therefore, my drink was always 'Bottomless'...
APBS has been in partnership with Kreta Ayer Foundation and it marks the 10th year in 2012. All this years, APBS raised funds through the sales of the fortune cookies to support the Meal & Grocery Programme created by Kreta Ayer -Kim Seng constituency. This programme ensures that the needy elderly are able to get more regular and nutritious meals
In celebration the 10 years relationship, APBS will be organising the annual charity dinner on the 9/Jan 2012.
We ate the fortune cookies which was served to all attendees... I broke the cookie and my fortune note said : "Happy memories never wear out, relive them as often as you want. "
Apart of the charity dinner, Tiger Beer brings togetherness to a new level... Collaborating with Grand Master Phang of New Trend Lifestyle, they will organise an event - 'Tiger Lunar Extravaganza' on 17/Jan 2012 at the Singapore Flyer.
Not to forget the Art of Lion-making... ABC Extra Stout is partnering with Henry Ng, one of the Singapore 's last remaining lion maker. He will show his traditional skill of lion-making to the next generation through a series of intensive workshops.
Lastly, making a roaring return of the Guinness-marinated Bak Kwa... Guinness is giving Singaporeans the unique opportunity to learn how to make their very own premium Guinness-marinated Bak Kwa through a series of demonstrations and an exclusive cooking class conducted by Chef John See.
For ONE night only, on the 21/Jan 2012, Guinness LIVE singers together will be serenading diners and shoppers along Pagoda Street and sing a cappella renditions of classic Chinese New Year songs too.
I am so happy that I can bring back a box of ten fortune cookies home for my family members and friends to share the fortune cookies, fortune notes... But the most important is that very single fortune note, it was accompanied by 4 lucky numbers...
May my coming year be a fruitful one...
The fortune cookie tasted delicious... Each box (containing 10 fortune cookies) will be sold at a price of $10 at APBS' booth @ the Chinatown Pavilion, Banda Street from 30 December 2011 onwards...
I am looking forward to the Year of Dragon as APBS prepares the whole line up of plans and activities... Hope to be part of their celebration, once again thanks for the kind hospitality!!
