A Most Unforgettable Evening - A Song to Remember

To promote the Blockbuster drama serial - 'A Song to Remember' (星州之夜) which is still currently airing on Channel 8...

MediaCorp held a closed door media event - A Song to Remember at Zouk. Sweetie, Suhan and Samatha were my 姐妹淘 of the night... The theme shows the era of 1930s to 1940s in early Singapore before World War II, which was the setting of this show where cabaret nightlife came alive...

Zouk has transformed to a cabaret setting of the past... A night where only music and glamour ruled and we entered the glittering night in early days of Singapore...

Stage set-up

Garments that were worn in the show were displayed for viewing...

A line of buffet spread was provided to all invitees in the house, not to forget, a free flow of drinks which included alcoholic drink was rendered to us too...

To make the setting more realistic, they set up 2 stations...

 Olden days snack in the paper cones!! A wide selecting of peanuts to choose from...

I felt like I was brought back to the past for that moment...

Suhan got herself the Cotton Candy!

Both of us were enjoying the light but very sweet candy of threaded tinted food colouring sugar...

Upon registration, we were given each a packet of 10 chips...

We were all ready to try our luck at the gambling tables to win more chips for later auction use...

There were 2 gambling stations to choose from... We girls were crazy over the betting at roulette

While Baby was more crazy at the dice game - Big/small...

As we had 40 chips in the beginning, and after 30 mins of betting, we earned ourselves total of 180 chips... OMG! We had lady luck with us (:

The hosts for this event were Ivy and Jiahui, DJs from YES933...

The first performance of the night was kicked off by Sing Chew, Shi Xinhui...

She brought us a total of 5 songs during the whole event... Some trivia to share, she played a minor role in this drama too.

The interview session with the casts was up next... Desmond Tan, May Phua, Julie Tan and Priscilla Chan were on stage to talk about their roles in the drama show.

Through this session, I got to know more about casts and the drama outline...

We were given a photo each for keepsake...

That's the four of us attending this exclusive event from MediaCorp...

Looking forward to the auction segment... We took part in the auction with our winnings earlier on. We managed to take down the grand prize of SGD300 Takashimaya voucher by combining with other people on the floor... The prize was being auctioned for the total of 450 chips...

We were given SGD100 Takashimaya vouchers as our share... We were so happy that we can make use of the chips to get some vouchers back if not the chips will be redundant after the event.

We are planning a makan session soon... Sweetie & Suhan WILL be invited!!

We were given a small token of appreciation as we made our way out from the venue...
