Opening event of Leeu SG - Artisanal Ice-cream Parlor

Leeu SG is a home-grown artisanal ice-cream parlor which was founded by Husband-and-Wife team, Jenn Wei Yeo and Valerie Liu. The shop has officially opened their doors at The Esplanade! The parlor name was named after Singapore's national animal, the lion. 'Leeu' is the Afrikaans word for 'lion'. The inspiration behind the name was obtained from their safari adventure last year. Therefore, they worked on a brand that paid homage to the lion and the city-state of Singapore which the lion proudly represents! The duo started Leeu SG.
 
 
Every creation on their menu is infused with the spirit of Singapore. Their signature creations are the Merlion Ice Pop and Esplanade Ice Cream. Their menu holds a significant representation of Singapore. All the dessert items on the menu are carefully hand-crafted using top grade ingredients.
 
 
Introducing the Icy Merlion, it is a patriotic-looking confectionery of strawberry and vanilla to honor our national flag which is endorsed by the Singapore Tourism Board. This iconic ice pop has been specially made to be less sweet, so as to fall in line with PM Lee’s call for eating healthier in his 2017 National Day Rally Speech! 
 
 
Also on the menu is the Esplanade Ice Cream that is crafted from fresh durian! This is ingapore's only durian-shaped ice-cream which resembles Singapore's well-loved location where arts and lifestyle meets! This is also the venue where Leeu SG is located! I bet many durian fans will go crazy over this dessert! 
 
 

With the blessing of the Singapore Tourism Board for their patriotic endeavour, the owners of Leeu SG hope to take their iconic Leeu SG ice-cream and desserts to even more places around Singapore in the near future, especially to places frequented by tourists. 

 
I love the Fish Tail Soft Serves very much. The delicious Taiyaki waffles are made fresh on site! The soda floats' name are Singapore-inspired, such as The Zouk Out Cure, The Red Dot, and The Sentosa Breeze. 
 


 
 
 
 The Pandan-infused Beancurd float called 'The Old Timer' tasted pretty unique! I enjoyed The Purple Fantasy very much. 
 
 
In celebration of Leeu SG's official opening, all patrons can enjoy the signature Merlion Ice Pop at SGD3.80 while the Esplanade Ice Cream is at a promotional price of SGD8.80. This opening promotion is only valid in the month of June! Head down to Leeu SG to enjoy the sweet deal.
