[2019 Holiday] 4D3N to Hong Kong

After two years of hiatus, I re-visited HKG with my Baby Hubby and Mum Vi in February 2019. We took the Singapore Airlines and after 3hrs+ of flying, we reached Hong Kong International Airport. As usual, once we cleared the customs check, we proceeded to the train counter and purchased the Airport Express Travel Passes (for tourists) at HKD300, which includes a 2-way airport express ride + a 3 days unlimited MTR ride.

We had our Dim Sum lunch at London Chinese Restaurant which is located are Mongkok Area. They served Dim sum in the old traditional dim sum pushcart, and we picked up some usual dim sum items that we normally eat. Both Baby and I did enjoy my meal, but we think there were still some hits and misses afterall.

After our lunch, we went over to Argyle Centre for some shopping, and I picked up some unique earrings.

It was the Year of the Pig and there were many pig-themed related decorations displayed in most of the shopping mall. I took many random photos against them. I love the girlish pink decorations very much, as it based on a Japanese manga series - Tonde Burin.

At night, we went to Temple Street for frugal shopping and we had porridge for dinner.

Hong Kong’s neon signs are as iconic as its skyline. Unfortunately, Hong Kong’s iconic lighting fixtures are slowly being replaced by printed or plastic signs. I really love these old-fashion neon signs, as they give a unique charisma to the country. Thankfully, I’m still be able to snap a great one at Nathan Road.

Next morning, breakfast was provided by the hotel. We stayed at Shamrock Hotel which is located at just a few steps away from Jordan MTR Station, Oh well, the location of the hotel is superb but the service rendered to us was pretty limited. Oh yes, WiFi is available in the room, and it was pretty decent stable!

We went shopping again at Langham Place, Mongkok, and I took some random photos outside the Line Friends Store!

Baby read up from website on an eatery place which serves great roasted goose, and he decided to us to have our lunch there. We settled at Sham Tseng Chan Kee Roasted Goose Restaurant, and we enjoyed our meal very much. The best Roasted Goose I have ever had! It tasted fabulous, and it’s worth my thumbs up

Experience a vibrant Hong Kong-style street arcade at the Ladies’ Market! It is located at Tung Choi Street in the heart of Mongkok, one of the most densely populated suburbs in the world. A favorite shopping spot for the bargain hunters!

Time for dinner, we treated ourselves with a good meal at House of Jasmine which is located at Ocean Centre - Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui. My dinner cost us around SGD80-ish. Although the damage was pretty hefty, the food made up for it!

Chilling out at Lan Kwai Fong is a MUST when I am in Hong Kong. Simply take the MTR to Central Station where Lan Kwai Fong is situated. It is a well-known party location in Hong Kong with loads of nightclubs and bars. It is the most popular place for drinking and dining among the tourists and locals.
