[random] dine-out at Hajime Tonkatsu & Ramen + Saizeriya

With the safe re-opening of Phase 2, RKM finally resumed our favorite routine! We love to drink tea/coffee at any Starbucks premises while chilling during the weekends.

We dropped by Ji Xiang Confectionery which is located at Everton Park to pick up some delicious Ang Ku Kueh, but I was told only the peanut filling kind were left. I love the kuehs very much as the skin was thin as well as soft, while the filling was abundant and not too overly sweet.

Thanks Mum Vi for continuing to cook for us even though Phase 2 had opened up. We appreciate it loads!

Thanks Mum Vi for making my favorite Steamed Sea Bass with Cai Poh, and thanks to my own mommy who helped to pick up this fresh fish from the wet market!

On a random weekday, Baby and I went out for our dinner date after we ended our work. We settled at Hajime Tonkatsu & Ramen which is located at Thomson Plaza.

I ordered a bowl Kurobuta Shabu Shabu Ramen. I liked the fatty Kurobuta Pork Belly, as the meat complimented my ramen nicely!

Baby had Tonkatsu Ramen. I always have a soft spot for Tonkatsu cutlets but somehow i find that the ones in Singapore are generally tougher, dry or have a gamey taste. Which is why i was pleased to discover Hajime's pork loin is air-flown Japanese pork, which has been specially chosen for its juiciness and tenderness!

We also ordered some dishes to go along with our mains. The damage was about SGD50.

Hajime Tonkatsu & Ramen serves reasonably good Japanese food with an affordable price. If you are looking for high-grade Tonkatsu that melts in your mouth, do give Hajime a try!

Fancy having Italian cuisine on an average Budget? Time to head to Saizeriya for that quick fix!

I am back again to Saizeriya Restaurant, Sembawang Shopping Centre. Both Baby and i are still quite pleased with the wide variety of food items that are on offer. The price tag is pretty affordable too!

Baby had a craving for baked rice, so he got the 'Curry Chicken Baked Rice' for himself. The rice had quite the amount of tumeric, which I generally enjoy. Pairing this with Corn Cream Soup is also a good move, as it meshes the sweetness of corn with the savory taste of the curry.

The best dish I’ve had at Saizeriya however would be the Hamburger and Sausage Hot plate!

The damage was pretty pleasant, hence the reason why we love dining at Saizeriya

GREAT FOOD QUALITY DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN IT COMES WITH A HEFTY PRICE TAG!
