[Singapore Stop] Huayi Brothers Fashion Group Icon Search 2018

The 'Huayi Brothers Group' was originally founded in Shanghai, and the group is one of the biggest media groups in China. The 'ICON SEARCH' is a marquee annual event which is organized by Huayi, and is widely known as the most influential talent search and star incubator platform in China.

I attended the Grand Finals for the Huayi Brothers Fashion Group 2018 Icon Search (Singapore Stop) which was held at the Resorts World Theatre, Resorts World Sentosa. I was there with my Baby to support our good friend, Tiffany Yong, who was a participant in the acting category.

After going through various rounds of video and live auditions, the judges had decided on 50 finalists, consisting of 25 actors and 25 singers. I am so proud that Tiffany made it to the finals!

To celebrate and mark the occasion, Huayi rising artiste Zeng Meng Xue was invited to grace the occasion!

There was a special performance by our local model and singer, Gina Tan. She had left the performing stage 25 years ago, but she is now back in showbiz! She sang her new single after a long hiatus away!

Tiffany's role as a female police inspector was quite good. I personally felt her acting was quite natural, and it was quite a pity that she was not selected to represent Singapore at the grand finale of the competition. 加油, Tiffany! 继续努力,保持微笑,你会成功的。

The initial plan was to select the Best 3 to represent Singapore at the World Finals which will be held in Shenzhen, China on 9th June 2018, but Huayi decided to put 4 representatives instead from Singapore due to THE high quality of our local artistes!

A big congrats to the 4 winners, who were Lee Hui Ting (S23) and Leonard Lim (S24) from the singing category as well as Neo Jia Jing (A6) and Li Ji Chen (A11) from the acting segment. They were given a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to Shenzhen in an all-expenses paid trip to take part in the Grand Finale of the Huayi Brothers Fashion Group Icon Search 2018!

Lastly, thanks Rachel from Beam Artistes for the invite and I was happy to be part of the event!
