[COVID resilient - Part 02] The MINDSET Challenge & Carnival 2022 + Affordable Art Fair (AAF) 2022 + Day Trip to JB

After a long hiatus, the Affordable Art Fair (AAF) is here again! This year, I got complimentary passes all thanks to the Affordable Affordable Art Fair (AAF)! It was held at the F1 Pit Building. Baby is an art lover, and he somehow got me into the arts scene after we got together. We always relish the opportunity to view art, and therefore this was a not-to-be missed event for us!

This year, Suni joined us to the event, and this was her first time to art fair. I was glad that she enjoyed herself at the event.

We had a splendid afternoon at the art fair, and we felt that this year's instalment was so much bigger as compared to the previous ones! 

The Affordable Art Fair (AAF) is an annual event where artists sell affordable art to the community! If you missed the chance to visit the fair this year, do not fret , as you may look forward to the next one, next year!

We went into JB, Malaysia recently on a random weekend as a day trip getaway. We love shopping and eating in JB mainly due to our strong currency conversion. Upon reaching, we settled at our favorite eatery place, Restoran Yit Foh which is located at Taman Century. We never fail to visit this eatery place whenever we drive into JB.

 
Restoran Yit Foh serves very delicious Wanton Noodles, and the egg noodles blended very well with their seasoning sauce. The freshly prepared preserved green chilli is worth a mention too! I love the piping hot soup which has generous portions of wantons the best! My wonderful meal was satisfied by a plate of delicious wanton mee and a big sharing bowl of Wanton Soup!

We had tea and some breads/pastries at Lavender Café which is located ay Aeon Tebrau City.

I had a dinner date with Meryl and Chewy at Jewel, Changi Airport, and we settled at White Restaurant for our favorite 'Signature White Mee Hoon'.

I love the White Mee Hoon, as it was cooked to perfection, and and was not too overly soft. The broth was flavorful and the overall taste was awesome. Apart from the White Mee Hoon, we also ordered Fried Chicken Wings and Fried Rice. The damage was about SGD57.

Meryl invited both Chewy and I to attend The MINDSET Challenge & Carnival 2022 which was held at The Lawn @ Marina Bay with her beau and her family members. 

It was a large-scale family-friendly carnival, and there were many games and activities to engage ourselves with. Thanks to the vouchers Meryl had given us, it was more than enough to get us a decent meal, drink and dessert!

Each game we played entitled us to a token for a draw at the lucky dip box, and we played many games that allowed us to bag home quite a handful of lucky dip gifts! Although none of us won the top prize of the luck dip, we did not go home empty-handed! Thanks Starbucks and Meryl for the tickets, and we enjoyed every bit of it.

Recently, Baby and I met up at Changi Airport Terminal 3 for dinner, and we settled at Le Shrimp. We started off with our favorite appetiser - Chilled Silken Cold Tofu with Century Egg.

As for our mains, we both loved the seafood-packed flavored broth, and we had a delightful dinner!
