Food fills my life...

Baby and I wandered around Smith Street after work on a random day as we were looking for some fuss-free and no-frills dim sum... We spotted this canteen-like eatery place, which was called Tak Po...

Baby had Steamed Rice with Chicken and Sausage

I had Cuttlefish Congee... I love the smooth texture of the porridge and I enjoyed every bit of it...

Deep Fried Prawn Dumpling...

We had Scallop seaweed dumpling, it is pretty similar to Siew Mai, and the only difference is that the scallop filling was wrapped by the seaweed sheet that gave us the sushi feeling... Thumbs up!!

Mushroom Chicken

Siew Mai

Home Style Puff >>> Disappointing :(

A piece of Fried Carrot Cake & one Lotus Paste bun for Baby

Tak Po offers a wide of dim sum selections, but it was nothing out of the ordinary... The dim sum tasted alright but not exceptionally good either. Just good enough to fill your stomach I suppose... One thing to highlight is that :  Chinese tea came in a huge pot and was only at $2.00.

It has been a long time since we visited Bee Heong Palace Restaurant which is located at Telok Ayer Street, therefore Baby & I decided to revisit there to have our dinner... ONE MAIN REASON is that I miss their Signature Oyster Mee Sua...

It tasted uber delicious and I was hooked on it after just one mouthful.

Baby enjoyed the Fried Fritter platter loads

As Baby was super hungry that day, he ordered a bowl of white rice for himself, so he ordered some dishes to go along his rice...

Sweet & Sour Pork

Stir- Fried Chicken dices with Dry Chilli (Gong Bao Ji Ding)

Our excellent order : Braised Pork Belly with Buns

The damage was SGD41... Thumbs up for the wonderful dinner!!
