Private screening of P.O.V

Monday Blues were far away for me as my RSVP for the 'P.O.V' private screening was confirmed... I went for the screening with a group of friends...

--- Poster of P.O.V ---

Actresses, Mirai Shida and Haruna Kawaguchi are starring in the new horror movie, P.O.V, which is a J-Horror documentary film directed by master of Japanese horror, Tsuruta Norio... This movie features actual experience from the casts and program officials. The setting is at the Junior High School that Haruna Kawaguchi graduated from...

The film tells the story of two teenagers (played by Mirai Shida and Haruna Kawaguchi) who play themselves in the movie, and they were dragged into a series of supernatural phenomenon during their filming for a TV program streamed on smart phones which introduces viewers to submit their videos...

That fateful day, they selected and played one of the videos after going through all the submitted videos from the viewers... The programming for that day was interrupted when the video was playing, and was immediately played back to show footage that is not in the script. The story begin to unfold when it shows an urban legend rumored at Haruna's school...
My personal opinion - The most creepy part in the whole film was during the TV show filming about spiritual phenomena, where the video was played during the taping, but mysteriously, the recorded scenes kept changing into something different then previously from each time when it was rewinded and played again...

2.5/5

The ending was quite abrupt, but on hindsight maybe it was directed this way in order to create more mystery for this movie... Remember to watch the ending of the movie, it will explain why P.O.V is a cursed film...

I had the pleasure of watching the private screening all thanks to OMY.sg and Shaw Organisation. The premiere date is on 26 April 2012
