The Fray's exclusive concert LIVE in Singapore
THE FRAY is back in Singapore again for an exclusive concert organized by Singtel.
The Fray is an American piano rock band from Denver,
Colorado, and they formed in 2002. They use the piano as the lead instrument in
their music. They achieved success with the release of their debut album, How to Save a Life in 2005. The
Fray achieved national success with their first single, ‘Over My Head (Cable Car)’, which became a top ten hit in the
United States.
We (Hong Peng, Sweetie, Baby and I) had the pleasure of catching the Grammy-nominated rockers, The Fray LIVE at The Coliseum, Hard Rock Hotel Singapore for a one-night-only showcase all thanks to Singtel.
The crowd simply went crazy when they sang ‘How to Save a Life’... This single was released in 2005 and this song is still being
loved by so many people till to date, and this is the song which brought the band worldwide fame.
I was pretty
disappointed that I never get to hear them sing my favorite song, Heaven Forbid. Oh well, I will share it
via youtube video.
Isaac Slade is the lead vocalist, main songwriter, pianist
and co-founder of piano rock band, The
Fray. He started singing when he was 8 years old and began playing piano at
the age of 11. He also wrote his first song when he was only 16 and learned to
play the guitar when he was in high school.
We were immersed in his
energetic performance up on the pillar, and it was a sing-a-long and wildest
night for all the audience…
They sang their popular hits during the concert, and the familiar tunes brought back fond memories of yester-year. A sweet nostalgia night for us!
