Singapore International Jewelry Expo (SIJE) 2016

The Singapore International Jewellery Expo (SIJE) is an annual prestigious Jewellery event that showcases the best Jewellery and designs from all around the world. The event was held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre from July 21-24, 2016.

SIJE 2016 gathers the world's leading Jewellery from the various 'Jewel' capitals of world. It is also a much-anticipated event and is an ideal platform for jewellery designers to present their exquisite gemstones and latest creations, in the fast expanding Asian market.

Simone Jewels is a Singapore-based private jewellery, and their trendy designs are suitable the stylish women who want to look good on any occasion. I was glad to view their latest pieces from the collection 'Romance du Art Nouveau' at the SIJE 2016.

There is a fascinating mix of fact and legend behind each and every piece of exquisite jewellery/gemstone. Lately, there has been a grown in demand for Gemstones, as they are unique creations with no distinction of quality/grades. The rarer they are, the more valuable they are.

I am glad to see that my favorite Italian exhibitor, MASSIMO RAITERI is still part of SIJE this year as this brand left a great impression on me during last edition of SIJE. Each exhibit bore a unique and avant garde design.

Caratell is one of Singapore's finest haute joaillerie ateliers. It was established in 2004, and every Caratell creation is a fine work of jewel art.

An interesting piece of Jewellery from Caratell caught my attention. It is no other than this Pretty Ring, which can be expanded into a Bangle, and can be shrunk back into its original size as a Ring again! I love the conceptual design, as the craftsmanship is perfect too!

It was a nice experience to see many expert jewellers, talented designers, amazing craftsmen, and exhibitors gathered together at the SIJE 2016. Lastly, thanks for having me at the largest consumer Jewellery in Singapore and the region. I hope to see more creative jewellery designs and rare/historical gemstones at SIJE 2017.
