[USA Travel] A visit to the Grand Canyon National Park

My experience to the Grand Canyon, Arizona will be my last post on my holiday to the States, which concluded my entire trip to the USWC.

Baby drove from Page, Arizona to Grand Canyon which took us less than 3 hours. The drive was stunning as we were greeted by high mountains, clear blue skies and golden grass fields. We had strawberries during our car ride. What an indulgence!

The entrance to Grand Canyon National Park was USD30 per car. We were excited to visit one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Our senses were overwhelmed by the immense size of the Grand Canyon.

The view was breathtaking, and it was a truly awe inspiring.

The Grand Canyon is one of the most amazing geological masterpieces in the world, and there are many ways to explore her spectacular beauty. A visit to Grand Canyon is wonderful at any age!

A trip to Grand Canyon is totally worth the drive. It was calming and invigorating, and the senses of peace that gathered stayed with us even after we left the park.

We took a rest at Grand Canyon Village for lunch before leaving the national park. Baby picked up some Arizona speciality beers at the grocery store too.

As we were driving on the highway towards California, we came across Flintstone’s Bedrock City, which seemed to be a rather unique attraction, albeit it being kind of neglected...

It was pretty empty, and all we saw was Fred Flintstone standing at the entrance holding a 'WELCOME' sign with his famous line, 'Yabba Dabba Doo' engraved on it.

We took some random photos before continuing our car ride journey.

We reached Barstow, CA at night, and we stayed at the Comfort Suites Barstow for a night, which was located off the highway.

After leaving our belongings in the room, we walked around the nearby area to look for a decent eatery for our dinner. We settled at Chili's Grill & Bar for dinner.

Breakfast was included with our stay, and after our brekkie, Baby drove me to the Outlets at Barstow for some last minute shopping. I had a hearty time shopping at the small town of Bartow. We left around noon and reached Los Angeles in the late afternoon.

Our return flight back to Singapore was at 10 in the morning on the final day. Therefore, we decided to return our car a day before leaving USLAX to the car rental after checking in to our hotel. The Hyatt Place LAX EI Segundo is located short distance away from the airport. Upon returning the car, the friendly staff drove us to our hotel. The service provided by the car rental was splendid.

Breakfast was included for our stay and we headed off to the airport after our brekkie. The hotel provides airport transfer for their in-house guests.

I have come to the last and final post of my United States holiday. Thanks so much for reading up my experiences during my USA trip. Time really flies, as it has been almost 3 months since I returned from LA, but I still find myself missing it very much. Till we meet again, USA!
