Gala Opening Night of 'KINKY BOOTS'

Base Entertainment Asia brings the smash-hit musical, 'KINKY BOOTS' to the MasterCard Theatres, Marina Bay Sands this October!
 
 
 
Winner of the 2014 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, 'KINKY BOOTS' is one of Broadway's huge-hearted, high-heeled and joyous musicals with tracks such as - 'Sex in the Heels', and 'Raise You Up/Just Be'. These particular two songs were my favorite!

 
Inspired by true events, 'KINKY BOOTS' is the story of Charlie Price and his struggle to live up to his father's expectations and continues the family business of Price & Son.
 
As we enter the story, Price & Son has been a steady shoes maker for sturdy shoes for decades, but time has marched on while Price & Son has not. Charlie inherits his late father's failing business. Faced with the prospect of closing the factory, the clueless Charlie is troubled, however salvation comes after a chance encounter with Lola, the Cross Dresser who opens Charlie's eyes on an unique niche market: high-end ladies' footwear for men.

 
The script of the 'KINKY BOOTS' plays up the comedy well! This musical brings up an important and timeless message of acceptance, open-mindedness and friendship.


 
'KINKY BOOTS' is fabulously sassy and I wholeheartedly recommend it! This warm-hearted musical only runs for 10 days in Singapore (from 05/Oct - 14/Oct 2018) at the MasterCard Theatres, Marina Bay Sands.

 Thanks Claressa for asking me along to join her for the preview screening of Planes at GV VivoCity.   --- Posters of Planes ---         I was thinking to myself during the show, has PIXAR run out of ideas to make a movie? This movie has all the hallmarks of a standard PIXAR movie, such as Cars/Wall-E/Toy Story, with the looks and graphics being the same.     The movie, Planes is a carbon copy of 'Cars' with both the films logo being similar. [Nights with Netflix] Screening of Next Gen

Thanks Hpility , for extending your invite to me to attend the 'Nights with Netflix' event. This event was to check out Netflix's Singapore office, as well as to catch a special preview of an awesome screening! photo credits to hpility.sg   Netflix Singapore's office is located at Marina One West Tower , and it looked splendid! How I wish I could work in such a wonderful environment! The pantry looks just like an eatery place, and was well stocked with drinks, snacks and even cup noodles!   Nextflix won the global rights to stream the movie 'Next Gen' , and this newly animated movIe debuts on the 7th of September 2018 .  'Next Gen' is a family-friendly movie with pretty good computer animated visuals for a non-Disney/ Pixar/ DreamWorks production.     This film, 'Next Gen' was based on a short online comic from the Chinese Multimedia Company 'Baozou' .
