Preview Screening of The Lingering + Canon x PaperMarket Photo Frame Workshop

I am really grateful that I got the opportunity to attend the movie preview screening of 'The Lingering'.

On the eve of Chinese New Year, Qingyi and her son Dawa, awaited for husband/father Shizi's return from work. They are staying in a remote village, while the husband works in the town a fair distance away. Unfortunately, Shizi never comes home. Dawa starts seeing a strange apparition, which Qingyi cannot see. In the meantime, Qingyi leaves the boy with her neighbour in order to travel to the  village committee building, which has the only telephone that will allow her to contact her husband's workplace. Unfortunately, she winds up hearing that a terrible accident has occurred at the factory, and her husband is no more.

The story then shifts to 30 years later, where  Dawa has grown up and shifted away from the village. He hears about his mother's death and returns to the village to handle the necessary funeral arrangements and other issues. While this is happening, a real estate agent tries asking him to sell his mother's house where he had grown up as a child. He requires the property certificate to  proceed with the sale, but cannot find the document. Strange things start to happen, and the show tries to make it seem as if it is a warning not to sell the house.

Overall, I was disappointed by the CGI effects, as I felt that it could have been done better. Nevertheless, the ambiance and lighting of the movie was fairly well executed in order to portray an eerie and creepy feeling to the audience. The old age make-up on Athena Chu is worth mentioning!

Thanks once again for the tickets to the movie preview!

I attended the Canon x PaperMarket Photo Frame Workshop which was held at Canon Singapore Office, located at Fusionopolis - Galaxis. I really love the photo quality which was printed directly from my iPhone/Mini iPad. The link up for the output printer was easy, fast and hassle-free. Thanks for preparing the materials and allowing us to print out our favorite photos from our smart devices! Lastly, thanks for the invite!

Thanks Baby for getting for me this cute unicorn make-up pouch from Shopee. Thanks for pampering me always with small gifts as surprise!

Recently, I picked up a pair of earrings for RM25 from KSL City Mall. These pastel flower petal earrings are now trending, so do pick up a pair soon!

I end my post with a recent weekend lunch with my Baby. We had a plate of simple Wanton Mee at Timbre+ which is located at JTC LaunchPad @ one-north.

Lastly, thanks ORBIS for the lovely travel-size giveaway, The Cleansing One Makeup Remover, and this will surely come in handy for my upcoming overseas trip!
