[launch event] Grand Opening of The Sampan + PerrierxWild Cocktail Party

The Sampan plays an eclectic soulful soundtrack by former Ku De Ta Bali's DJ Jim Breeze to keep the party mood throughout the night. Wooo! I love lush music! 

 
Steve Collinson is the founder/owner of The Sampan, and this newly opened three-storey restaurant and bar with soulful vibes ensures diners are treated to an unforgettable dining experience in the heart of Boat Quay!

 
Apart from the food indulgence, there was a ribbon cutting ceremony to officiate the launch, and this was followed by a Lion and Dragon Dance performance for good luck.



 
As the Head Bar Man of The Sampan, Herman Jasmani is set to rock the scene at Boat Quay's newest dining spot. He believes that having a great personality will make a good bartender. With a cheerful and positive approach, a bartender will be able to connect and even build friendships with guests – making them come back as returning customers. 
 

 
Chef Alfie is the Head Chef of The Sampan, and he has more than a decade of F&B experience. He loves experimenting with various flavours and ingredients. One ingredient in the kitchen he cannot live without is garlic, due to its versatility, complexity and depth in flavor.
 
During the momentous occasion, we indulged in the canapes which featured the best and classic flavors from all over Pan Asia cuisines! The canapes that were created by Chef Alfie were interesting! Below are some of my top picks!

I attended the cocktail party of PERRIERXWILD which was held at the Funan Show Suite! Thanks Hpility and Word of Mouth Communications for the invite! 

 
Upon reaching the premise, the ambiance was literally wild, where there were people dressed up as 'wild roaming animals' at the party! This party was in collaboration with the artist, Juan Travieso, who has given the Perrier Glass Bottles a new and wilder look! 


As wild animals are slowly disappearing over time, Perrier has paid tribute to them by launching 3 limited edition #PERRIERxWILD glass bottles which have been created exclusively by Abstract Artist Juan Travieso. The 3 tremendously wild bottles featured re-interpreted portraits of three majestic creatures: Lion, Tiger and Wolf. The design brings the wonders of the wild into the heart of our urban life!
 
 
 
 
 
While at the event, all guests were welcomed to create their own mocktails/cocktails by using the Perrier water as a mixer. 
 
 
We had a fun time with our DIY Cocktail creation and of course, took various photos of our end product!
