Samsung Fashion Steps Out (FSO) 2013

Samsung Fashion Steps Out (FSO) 2013 is a six-week fashion extravaganza which culminates in the Traffic-Stopping Orchard Fashion Runway on the 4th of May 2013. The event aspires to attract even more visitors and higher spending.

FSO 2013 is into its fourth installment for this year and is presented by Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA) with the support of Singapore Tourism Board.

A celebration of the world's finest fashion hit Orchard Road, Singapore’s best-known shopping destination as Samsung Fashion Steps Out (FSO) 2013 set the spotlight on the chic and en vogue with an exciting line-up of fashion shows, pop-up stores and exclusive MasterCard shopping promotions.

Traffic-stopping main event to be held on the 4 May, the Orchard fashion runway will switch the usual vehicular bustles for a dazzling outdoor catwalk display of the latest Spring/Summer designs from local and international brands. Close to 150 models will do their runway on the main road that will be closed for traffic for that one special day when fashion conquers the whole Orchard Road.

For the first time in FSO’s history, Samsung is the Presenting Sponsor and will headline 2013’s biggest fashion event of the year with the much-anticipated launch of Samsung GALAXY S4 LTE.

In conjunction with FSO2013, the first-ever Orchard Road mobile app, ‘@Orchard’ was launched and made available for download from 28 March onwards. It is a free mobile app for both Android and iOS users. This app provides shoppers a listing of Orchard Road stores, the latest promotions and newest events. It also helps to update the availability of car-park lots as well as traffic conditions along Orchard Road.

This year is the fourth year running for MasterCard as the Official Card for FSO 2013.
Stretch your shopping dollar with MasterCard Shopping Promotion. Charge SGD300 to your MasterCard at any participating malls to redeem a SGD30 shopping voucher on the same day. Shoppers also stand a chance to win a Samsung device or SGD500 shopping vouchers in the shop, Dine & Wine Draw with every SGD50 spent at any outlet in the participating malls. Charge the purchases to MasterCard and triple the chances of winning.
Singapore Tourism Board continues to be a supportive partner of FSO 2013

Selected trees on both sides of the shopping boulevard are dressed in vivid hues and effervescent prints which are created with the help of Samsung Note 10.1 LTE by budding designers from Raffles Design Institutes (RDI).

We enjoyed our party night away with some fabulous LIVE music from a local band, the Goodfellas and of course some delicious canapés and wines to go along with the party mood...

OM!! I simply love the collection from POIS, they look simple yet classy.

Lastly, to round up my experience at the Samsung Fashion Steps Out 2013, I picked up the FSO badge with the floral design for keep-sake as the colorful floral design captured my attention... This traditional Chinese flower design was by Taro Guo Yu from PRC.
