Café Asia 2014, International Coffee & Tea Industry Expo 2014 and Sweets & Bakes Asia 2014.

Singapore again took the center-stage as the host for Café Asia 2014 and International Coffee & Tea Industry Expo 2014 (ICT Expo 2014). This year also marks the launch of Sweets & Bakes Asia 2014.


After the great success which was very well received of the inaugural Cafe Asia & International Coffee (ICT) and Tea Expo 2013, they are back again with the 2nd edition of Cafe Asia & International Coffee (ICT) and Tea Expo. I was glad to be part of the largest gathering of tea, coffee and bakery players in the South East Asia.


Since the launch of the Cafe Asia and ICT Industry last year, there is an increase in the local cafe community. Cafe-hopping is becoming very popular in Singapore among the youngsters.

The first-ever Cafe Map was printed to serve as Singapore’s first official directory of local cafes. With the map aid, both locals and foreigners will have a wonderful time exploring many unique cafes in Singapore. 
  

In conjunction with the exhibitions, the organizer and hosting associations donated proceeds collected from the Singapore Coffee and Bake Friends Charity Drive to the Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN).

 A charity drive was conducted with the Singapore Coffee Association to raise funds for the Associations for Persons with Special Needs. Students from APSN helped out at the cafeteria area.
I sampled the Dutch Colony White Coffee at Hario


 Cold Brew (sweetened and un-sweetened) was first to be seen at the exhibition as they have not released them out in the market yet. I tried the sweetened version and it tasted pretty decent for coffee which can consumed straight from the bottle. OM!! I felt so privileged to be the first few to taste the cold brew...


The first Cafe Asia Siphon Competition was held at Cafe Asia and ICT Industry 2014.



New flavour from F&N: Yoghurt Smooth Apple with Pear Bits.

Sweets & Bakes Asia 2014 showcased all components of the baking and confectionery industry's supply chain, from machinery and equipment, to ingredients and packaging.  

Sweets & Bakes Asia 2014 is the one-stop hub for baking and confectionery industry professionals to source for suppliers and vendors to explore business opportunities as well as to stay up-to-date with the latest innovations and developments in the industry.


Phoon Huat showcased their latest baking suppliers at the exhibition.
