Preview screening of Don't Go Breaking My Heart 2

I had the pleasure to watch the preview screening of Don't Go Breaking My Heart 2 all thanks to Clover Films, and the premiere date of the movie has been set for the 13th November 2014.

Don't Go Breaking My Heart 2 is the latest Hong Kong-Chinese romantic comedy film which is a sequel to the 2011 film, Don't Go Breaking My Heart which has the following actors starring:- Louis Koo, Gao Yuan Yuan, and Daniel Wu.

In this latest installment, it is best described as a twisted double love triangle. There is a case of mistaken identity in the movie that triggers a series of hilarious rollercoaster like events, which ultimately leads to an unexpected finale.

The first movie ended with Cheng Zi Xin (starring Gao Yuan Yuan) making her choice to marry the Architect , Fang Qi Hong (played by Daniel Wu) who is ready to do everything for the woman in his life. Dashing-looking Investment Banker, Cheung Shen Ran (starring Louis Koo) has since lost his love to Qi Hong, and has returned to his old self as a womanizer. He messes around with all the women who cross his path, and finally settles on the Stock Market Maverick, Yang Yang (played by Miriam Yeung). Soon after, Zi Xin begins to work for Yang Yang and her brother, Paul (starring Vic Chou) develops a crush on Yang Yang.

I was quite disappointed to see Daniel Wu who gave an impressive performance in the first movie, is now largely sidelined as a cameo in the sequel instead.

Miriam Yeung and Vic Chou are the new additions to this new installment, and I love the way they interact with each other in the movie!

I was pretty surprised that Director, Johnnie To came out with a sequel to succeed the original movie, as it was good enough and didn't really need a follow up, but surprisingly, the sequel is not as bad as I thought it could be. This movie is pretty entertaining, and do catch this movie if you are a fan of the cast or you are a sucker of romantic love stories!
