‘Make Your Own Havaianas’ (MYOH)

YAY! Havaianas is turning 50 this year. It has it's humble beginnings in Brazil as a basic footwear necessity in 1962, and now Havaianas has evolved to become a vibrant global lifestyle phenomenon and ‘fashion must-have’, at the same time retaining its rich Brazilian heritage. Havaianas signature durable and buttery-soft flip-flops are still to date lovingly made out of a single factory in Brazil with a secret rubber recipe.


Celebrated for its originality, Havaianas launched the inaugural ‘Make Your Own Havaianas’ (MYOH) customisation event for Singapore Havaianistas at the h store @ Takashimaya Shopping Centre.


Customising your very own Havaianas mix-and-match flip-flops at the ‘Make Your Own Havaianas’(MYOH)  event. Choose from an enticing selection of colorful soles and straps, right down to the decorative pins.


2012 marks a significant milestone for Havaianas as it celebrates its 50 years of brand's rich heritage and ironic history. It has flourished into a fashionable and lifestyle phenomenon. I was invited to attend the inaugural ‘Make Your Own Havaianas’(MYOH) event.



Happy 50th Anniversary to Havaianas, the best-loved Brazilian flip-flops!!



All invitees were treated to eye-candy cupcakes... The colors perked up my mood and they simply make my day.


Colorful rubber soles were used to decorate the store...



As this was an invite-only event, all invitees had the privilege of making their own customised Havaianas flip-flops.


Choose the soles and straps + decorative pins at the selection area.


An enticing selection of metal pins was available at the DIY section.


Havaianas continues to win over new generations of consumers, and it has graced the feet of everyone, such as Designer - Michael Kors, Supermodel - Naomi Campbell, Hollywood Star - Jennifer Aniston, Sport Icon - David Beckham and Queen Silvia of Sweden.



My very own self-customized Haivaianas slim Sugar Coral Soles with Gold Straps and 2 Metal Pins (aviator and seahorse).

 Thanks Claressa for asking me along to join her for the preview screening of Planes at GV VivoCity.   --- Posters of Planes ---         I was thinking to myself during the show, has PIXAR run out of ideas to make a movie? [Nights with Netflix] Screening of Next Gen

Thanks Hpility , for extending your invite to me to attend the 'Nights with Netflix' event. This event was to check out Netflix's Singapore office, as well as to catch a special preview of an awesome screening! photo credits to hpility.sg   Netflix Singapore's office is located at Marina One West Tower , and it looked splendid! How I wish I could work in such a wonderful environment! The pantry looks just like an eatery place, and was well stocked with drinks, snacks and even cup noodles!   Nextflix won the global rights to stream the movie 'Next Gen' , and this newly animated movIe debuts on the 7th of September 2018 .  'Next Gen' is a family-friendly movie with pretty good computer animated visuals for a non-Disney/ Pixar/ DreamWorks production.     This film, 'Next Gen' was based on a short online comic from the Chinese Multimedia Company 'Baozou' .
