SAVOUR 2012

Pardon me for this extremely out-dated post. I attended the inaugural SAVOUR FESTIVAL, a large scale gourmet event... A place where food lovers meet together to discover and experience world-class fine dining cuisine... The event was held at the F1 Paddock and Pit Building... The SAVOUR FESTIVAL united finest food and drink with a plethora of expected classes that consists of live demonstrations, fun workshops and culinary shopping... It also gathered award-winning chefs to present their best dishes. Many exhibitors also prepared arrays of specialty exhibitors showcasing their unique products.



Upon entering the alfresco Gourmet Village, we were greeted with over 50 signature dishes from the world-class chefs...


We secured our seats for MACARON MAGIC by WINDOWSILL PIES and WORLD OF CHOCOLATE by MAX Brenner workshops and food tasting at the Gourmet Market



~ MACARON MAGIC by WINDOWSILL PIES ~ The presenter - Michael Liu... At the end of the workshop, we were given a pack of macaroons.. Among the 3 flavors, I love the green tea loads!!




~ WORLD OF CHOCOLATE by MAX BRENNER ~ The presenter - Chef Alejandro... We were immersed in an inspiring cooking demonstration by him.



The chocolate cake was uber delicious....



We went back to the Gourmet Village again, and we visited some award-winning restaurants...

Bo Innovation, HONG KONG was awarded 2 Michelin Stars and 64th position on The S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants 2011.


Chef Alvin Leung, is an engineer-turned-chef with his unique brand of 'X-treme Chinese' cuisine.


L'Arpege, FRANCE was awarded 3 Michelin Stars and 19th position on The S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants 2011.



This is an amazing dish that was served in this restaurant... Chaud Froid of Egg (with maple syrup and xeres vinegar) and its cost was charged $18 during the gourmet event...




We next hopped over to the Gourmet Auditorium where culinary master classes were held... We attended the cooking demonstration – COOK A 3-COURSE MEAL IN 30MINUTES WITH BOSCH...



We attempted to make some garlic bread....


Yummy garlic bread made by us... LOVE YA!!



Chef Claudio Sandri, Brasserie Wolf showed us the steps of cooking a 3-course meal in just 30 minutes





Last course, dessert....


OMG!! Fire flame on the dessert... Truly an amazing sight!!

If you missed out on SAVOUR FESTIVAL this year, you need not worry, as you may indulge yourself in the gastronomy experience and meet the chefs next year...


Drooling over for SAVOUR 2013... We will meet again next year!!
