Recently, I was invited by Clover Films to the Gala Premiere of 'God of War' which premieres in theatres on the 1st of June 2017.   'God of War' is a lavish and gloriously old-fashioned Chinese war epic. Recently, I was invited by Clover Films to the Gala Premiere of 'Lucky Boy' which will be screened in theatres on the 18th May 2017. The Gala Premiere was held at the Capitol Theatre. 20 years ago, Chew Chor Meng played an unforgettable character in the Channel 8's sitcom, 'Don't Worry Be Happy' as Lobang King. Now, he has been paired up with the newest 'Lobang King' of the new generation of actors, (Wang Wei Liang), whereby he acts as Wei Liang's father in the film. I was excited and looking forward to see the acting chemistry between the two upon receiving this invitation. I attended the Special Preview of 'Love off the Cuff' which will premier and open in local cinemas on the 4th of May 2017. Love off the Cuff is the third instalment of the 3-part romantic comedy, following Love in the Puff and Love in the Buff . The third edition of the love story explores the relationship between Cherie (Miriam Yeung) and Jimmy (Shawn Yue), who have been together for several years. Jimmy has already changed quite a lot from the very first time Cherie met him, but there are still flaw and some things which Cherie is unhappy about. An example is Jimmy spending money on unnecessary things, as this really irks Cherie because she feels they should be trying to save money together for their future.  This movie emphasises a lot about the downfall of the relationship due to Jimmy behaving like a kid and not giving Cherie the sense of security she wanted most. As Cherie is older than Jimmy in the show, sh...

I attended the Thai Horror Preview Screening of 'School Tales' which premiered on the 12th of January 2017.   The horrifying tales are spilt into 3 different stories, and the first story is 'The Giant' - about a disabled student who is fat and has been bullied by his classmates. He has been given a nickname, the 'Giant' due to his large size.     One day, his friends make play a prank on him by inviting him to go to an old and abandoned building in the school ground. The Giant is panicked as he was alone, and unfortunately he fell to his death from a staircase due to an accident. I was invited by Clover Films to attend the special preview screening of the 'Blair Witch' which premiered on the 15th of September 2016.   The original Blair Witch Project in 1999 was one of the horror movies which helped to spawn the popularity of the 'POV' and 'Found video' horror genre. It was brilliantly marketed via the Internet and was believed by many audiences that the fake documentary was real.   The Blair Witch follows the story of James (starring James Allen McCune) in search of his sister with his friends, Lisa (played by Callie Hernandez), Peter and Ashley (played by Brandon Scott and Corbin Reid). I was lucky enough to be invited to attend a special preview of  'Operation Chromite', which was premiered on the 15th of September 2016. This movie is a highly anticipated Korean War movie which was released in South Korea on the day of the 63rd Anniversary of the Armistice Agreement. 'Operation Chromite' is a tribute to the many war heroes who sacrificed themselves to achieve peace and freedom for their motherland.  This Korean movie features top Hollywood actor, Liam Neeson, who plays the role of General Douglas MacArthur , and this gave added attention to the film internationally. Many South Korean know this historical figure was the one who led the United Nation Forces to fight against communism during the Korean war in the 1950s. A few days ago, I went to the Gala Premiere of the film 'Apprentice' , and special thanks to Clover Films for the invitation! The Gala Premiere was held at Singapore's most iconic theatre, The Capitol!   I felt great watching this local Singapore production at the Capitol Theatre , as it is a historically significant building in Singapore.   'Apprentice' is a drama film directed by Boo Junfeng and it took him 5 years to write this script. He immersed himself into researching the hangmen and the families of those who have seen relatives executed on death row. In this movie, the characters were surrounded by death. A few days ago, I went to the preview screening of the film 'Finding Mr Right 2' , which premiered on the 05th of May 2016. Thanks Clover Films for the invite to this romantic genre movie.   'Finding Mr Right 2' is the sequel to the successful 2013 movie, 'Finding Mr Right' .
