back-dated: [Vacation] Getting around at famous Jonker Walk in Melaka

Image
My NYE's dinner at Calanthe Art Cafe was a delightful one, as the ambience was perfect for peaceful dining as well for reminiscing back on all the memories and thing we did, as well as what had happened for the whole year of 2013.     Calanthe Art Cafe is located at Jonker Walk and they serve the best coffee of the 13 States of Malaysia... Ironically, we did not order any coffee, we had tea tnstead.   We started off our dinner with Satay Chicken , it tasted pretty good.   I had Sesame Chicken as my main, and it tasted decent, nothing to shout about.   Baby had Ponteh Chicken , and it tasted way better than mine, and I can't stop savoring the gravy from the Ponteh Chicken together with my white rice.   The damage was RM50 (SGD19-ish) which included a Seafood Tom Yam and two teas ( Chamomile and Earl Grey).     We did our countdown in the hotel while having Ramly Burger. It was simple y...

We drove to Tebrau City for some weekend shopping, which is located further away from the causeway. We headed straight to Tesco Extra to buy some sushi(s) for our lunch fix, as we were struck in both customs (Singapore/Malaysia) for almost an hour... We were REALLY starving by the time we reached Tebrau City .     We purchased a pre-pack 20-pc sushi set which cost us only RM15.90 (SGD6-ish). We shared the sushi set as the time shown when we had our lunch was almost 4pm and we needed to save some space for our stomach for dinner later...       After our sushi fix, we walked around the mall, and I was attracted to a retail store which bears a hot pink signage - Temptation ,  so I walked into the shop and I picked up two corsages.     The total damage was only RM10 (SGD3.90)           I am simply in love with my corsages as they go well with dresses as...

Baby and I went for a pretty light dinner at Sushi Tei (City Square branch), and we enjoy each other’s companionship always... We are pretty routine and standard when it comes to food-wise, and we love exploring new food haunts but once we are used to the food entrée at each place that are pleasant to us, we will stick to them... Therefore, we ordered our usual likings again... Black Cavier Sushi   Again, we had the Mini Golden Roll (4pcs). This is always our MUST-ORDER item in Sushi Tei .   Baby and I shared a bowl of Oyako Don , as both of us are watching our weights/diets now hahaha!!   Asari Miso Soup (Clam Miso Soup), our hot favourite, it tasted awesome. The damage was SGD40-ish… A little treat for my Baby for bringing me for a road trip to Melaka!!   Baby got me a Rilakkuma Sticker for my ezlink card… The design was nice, I am so glad give a new look for my ezlink card (:   Lastly, Baby ga...

Vacation: Nightlife in Hong Kong + loots/hauls

Hello, Hong Kong!!   During my trip to Hong Kong, I was staying at the  Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Soho which is just a short distant walk to Sheung Wan MTR station, Island Line .     So travelling around the Island Line (blue line) like Admiralty, Causeway Bay or even Central was pretty convenient for us as those stations are along the Island Line...   Weather at night in Hong Kong was chilling (Temp: +17C-ish) , therefore bringing a light jacket, cardigan or even shawl was essential while heading out at night .     Do you know that the rental in the shopping areas of Causeway Bay is ranked as the highest in the world? This is the place where fashion comes alive as Causeway Bay is one of Hong Kong's prime shopping destinations!!     The nearest MTR station to Lan Kwai Fong  is Central , but however a fairly short distance of walking is required. Therefore we took the stop down to Cen...
