Dim Sum Brunch at Kai Duck by Kai Garden + Merry Cheesemas at Burger King + Xing Hua Restaurant

Image
Happy Weekends! It may be pretty difficult to find an affordable yet delicious Cantonese-style Peking duck in Singapore. On a random weekend, I went to Kai Duck, by Kai Garden , which is located at Ngee Ann City for lunch. It serves awesome Cantonese-style Peking duck and dim sum at affordable prices. The Sliced Peking Duck with Crackers tasted pretty unique as it was a stack of layers of crackers, vegetables and sliced Peking duck skin in homemade sauce. I love the thin and crispy duck skin, as well as the special sauce which was prepared from scratch! We had Deep-fried Yam and Pumpkin, and I  love the natural sweetness from the pumpkin! The Pan-fried Carrot Cake was shaped like a pizza. It is a modern take on the classic dim sum dish. It is filled with lots of turnip, and  pan fried to a maximum crisp on the outside, yet remained soft on the inside. We had a nice lunch and the damage was pleasant too. Thanks Baby for the meal! Are you a fan of Christmas? Do you love eatin...

Sunday Brunch at Canton Paradise + Koung’s Wan Tan Mee

Image
Both Baby and I made a trip down to the plant nursery which is located near Khatib. We picked up 2 potted plants from the nursery. Asparagus Umbellatus and Rhopaloblaste (Java Palm). OM! My balcony has slowly become a mini garden. We love the greenery and it lifts up our mood too! I brought Baby to  Canton Paradise for a Sunday brunch on the last day of October. We settled at  Marina Bay Sands (MBS) outlet, as it  serves quality dim sum.  We were lucky to get a seat without any advance reservation after a short wait of 10 minutes. We started off with  Boat Style Congee , and I loved the consistency of the Cantonese styled Congee. It looked velvety smooth and had a silky texture. I savored every bit of it! The Chee Cheong Fun with Char Siew , BBQ bun and Steamed Spare Ribs with Yam were our dim sum staples. We love the  Fried XO Carrot Cake very much and this item has been listed under our MUST-ORDER item in any dim sum restaurant! A dim sum brunch wil...

Bvlgari Allegra Event at ION Sky + Dinner at Belo Café

Image
Chewy, Meryl, Sweetie and I registered for the Bvlgari Allegra Event which was held at ION Sky. We took many random photos at the premises, and Baby took many of my pictures (OOTDs) at ION Sky! After the last visit with Baby and my MIL for Christmas Day Brunch, I fell in love with the food served at the Belo Café . I decided to introduce this food gem to my close friends. I revisited this eatery place with them on a random Sunday evening for dinner. We drove to Upper Thomson where this café is located. We started off on our meal by sharing  Truffles Fries and Spam Fries with Thousand Island Sauce .  We ordered 3 different types of pizzas to share among 7 people. We had Diavola, Wayo and Brunch Pizza . Among the 3 variations, we loved the Wayo Pizza the best. The combination of ingredients were awesome - Prawns and Smoked Salmon with Mayonnaise and Bonito Flakes.   We ended our meal with some desserts! I am glad that my friends liked this eatery pla...
