I want to share a piece of great news for all bubble tea lovers, who are residing at the North-side of Singapore. There is a new artisan Bubble Tea in town. Bober Tea is an artisan tea that is focused on providing affordable, high-quality and tasty blends of tea with various flavors! It is located at Bishan Station (Exit C), and if you are around there, do not give it a miss, as it’s definitely worth a try! Thanks for the invitation, Bober Tea! I gathered my 3 besties to join me for the tasting. We redeemed 4 cups for our indulgence. Happyily, my friends, they loved their drinks very much.  For me, I picked up the Supreme Mango Green Tea with Hokkaido Milk Cap , and I also added Strawberry Pop Boba for my toppings. It has a foamy and thicker consistency from the other milk teas we ordered. I love the QQ pop boba, and I couldn’t stop sipping it!  Here are some tips to how best to enjoy the Milk Cap Series - It is best to drink it from...

[FOOD REVIEW] Xian Mei Yong Tau Foo

Image
Normally, in Singapore, Yong Tau Foo is ordered as a soup or dry version. However, due to the innovative and creative ideas from the owner of Xian Mei Yong Tau Foo , she has come up with Curry Laksa and Ma-La versions! Apart from the traditional Yong Tau Foo, Xian Mei Yong Tau Foo also offers the Hakka version too! Each tofu cube, egg-plants and bitter gourd are deep fried nicely, and stuffed with delicious minced pork. I enjoyed eating the homemade Hakka Meatballs the best, as I love the crispy exterior and the delicious taste!   The 5-pcs Yong Tau Foo + Noodles/ Rice (SGD3.60) is a pretty reasonable price. What I loved best was the  5-pcs Yong Tau Foo with Chee Cheong fun which costs only SGD3.80 . It can be served in either curry gravy or paired with homemade chilli and sweet sauce. It is definitely a genuine traditional chee cheong fun recipe!  Each ingredient is handmade from scratch every morning before the stall opens for business. ...

Recently, I've developed a new found love for Japanese 'Mikan' Oranges after attending the Arida Mikan tasting session at the Japan Rail Café . I am glad to experience its fragrance and sweetness before everyone else does! I am happy to know that these oranges are now available in Singapore! The Arida 'Mikan' Orange has a long and beloved history in Japan for nearly 450 years, and has been well loved by the Japanese for many generations. They are grown on the terraced mountains slopes of Arida, a city in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. The land and climate of Arida is ideal for growing premium Mikan.   These oranges are favored by many Chefs all over Japan due to the excellent balance of sweetness and freshness. Arida Mikan enjoys a long lasting harvest from late September till December. They are produced and delivered with the finest care!   During the event, we were brought in a historical journey on these exquisite mandarin orang...

I love AnnaBella Patisserie

Image
Macarons from AnnaBella Patisserie are hand-crafted, freshly baked and proudly produced in Singapore. These macarons are handmade using both a combination of French and Japanese techniques!     I was invited to visit one of their pop-up stores that had set up shop at  Causeway Point , in order to try out their creations!         AnnaBella Patisserie offers an array selected classic and premium macarons. I loved the Lavender flavor from the 'Classic Range', and the Crème Brulee and Pistache flavors from the 'Premium Range'. For people who enjoy alcohol-infused treats, I strongly recommend the Bailey's flavor! Lastly, do also give the ' Bubblegum' flavor a try, as it is very unique. I quite enjoyed it too.     These days, I try to be more health conscious, especially on my diet. Macarons are nice, but they are very sweet desserts and to over indulge in them may result in gaining of u...

Grand Opening of Fasta

Image
Fasta is a newly opened food joint which is located at the ground level of  South Beach Tower , and the nearest MRT station is the Esplanade on the circle line. To me, it is a well-hidden gem, and I was glad to find this place!     The wait is between 10-15 minutes, which is pretty fast for a decent dish to serve up. The eatery place is rather small in scale, but they do have a reasonable amount of seating available within the place.     I used to dislike fast-cooked take-away pasta, as they generally don't give the quality that I want from a decent pasta dish, but Fasta changed my view! I was surprised by the pasta that came in a take-away bowl which tasted so delicious!   Now, I love the concept of take-away bowls as it is smart way to save money and time! Fasta provided fresh pasta at an incredible fast service. Patrons can also customised their own gourmet pasta bowls, and these start from SGD6.5...
