Dining at Shunjuu Izakaya + Warung Ijo

Image
On a random weekend, Baby and I went down to Robertson Quay and settled on this Japanese restaurant, Shunjuu Izakaya for our lunch. This eatery place is also known for its ‘Sumiyaki ’ - skewered BBQ meat over Japanese charcoal. The complimentary  starter  -  White   Cabbage  with Salty slightly Sweet Bean Sauce . We squeezed the given lemon in the sauce, then dipped the white cabbage into the sauce. It was quite crunchy and pretty addictive! These Fried Oysters (Yaki Kaki) made a great snack! I simply can’t get enough of them! Overall, everything–the food, the service and the ambience was satisfactory. It's quite out of the way so we wouldn't specifically come all the way out here, but if we are in the area, we wouldn't mind considering visiting this place again. The total price of the meal, which included 2 glasses of Draft Beers was about SGD 92-ish for the both of us. Warung Ijo is rated #8 Top Rated Vegan Restaurant in Singapore! It serves authentic ...

捞鱼生 during the CNY period, it is believed that to bring good luck and prosperity for the whole year...The higher one tosses Yu Sheng, the better luck they have... Baby and I concluded our 元宵节 , which is the last day of the CNY as Chinese interpretation with a round of Yu Sheng session... We didn’t do any tossing of Yu Sheng throughout the CNY period, so Baby firmly insisted this Yu Sheng thingy. He added that it is a MUST for him and me to do at least one Yu Sheng Tossing in CNY period, and therefore we decided to go to Dian Xiao Er - Vivo City for our mini dinner celebration, mainly because he misses the soup while I miss the Herbal Roasted Duck very much...     捞鱼生 is our main objective for celebration of 元宵节 , and here we go, we ordered the 发财鱼生 for our joyous celebration and we hope that we will 发发发 all the way till 2014... Hahahaha!!   There goes without saying, we had Signature Angelica Herbs Roasted Duck ... It tasted he...

Concluding the Lunar New Year with my family, and I suggested to bring them out for dinner in JB, M'sia. We settled ourselves at Sing Kee Restaurant which is located at Jalan Chengai, Taman Melodies.       Malaysian way of cut chilli padi (red/green) with diced garlic is a MUST for me for every cze char  dinner.         We ordered my all-time favorite, Pork Ribs and Bittergourd in Black Bean Sauce . This dish will be my list's entree whenever I visit Sing Kee Restaurant. It tasted   uber delicious and it also whet up our appetites.     Till now, I still cannot find another place who serves Braised Tofu as good as Sing Kee Restaurant .
