Say NO! to Cervical Cancer
Upon receiving the invite, and RSVP for it without a second thought as I want to be part of the event to spread awareness for a good cause. Cervical cancer is caused by a strain of virus – Human Papillomavirus (HPV) , and t he two main precautions taken against cervical cancer are Pap Smears and HPV vaccination , and with the help these options, we, ladies will have a better protection ourselves from contracting the disease. HPV is commonly transmitted through sexual intercourse, via contact at the genital areas as well as pregnancy from the mother to the new-born during delivery. HPV infection is silent, and unsuspecting infected individuals do not know that they may have contracted the disease and may unknowingly spread the virus.
