[weekend getaway] 2D 1N in KL

Image
A weekend getaway to KL, Malaysia is something I always been waiting for after a week of stressful work, and it is certainly a nice way recharge myself. We drove up on a Saturday morning at 5am, and we reached KL at 10.30am. We did something different from our previous trips, as we read about a new eatery place called Prawn King Noodles which served authentic Penang Prawn Noodles. Therefore, we decided to have our brekkie there, and it is located at Taman OUG. The Chinese tea was served in a classic metal mug which cost us only RM0.60!   I love the flavorful broth very much, and I had a nice meal there!   After the meal, we drove back to Uncle Mike's place which is about 25mins away. I lepark-ed a while before meeting up with Shirley, my Malaysian blogger friend for some shopping!   I picked up some clothes from Sunway Pyramid , as there were many retail stores having 50% discounts in conjunction with the festiv...

[KL Weekend Getaway] Iberico Kitchen + Ashley's by Living Food + Canton-I

Weekend has always been fun for RKM, and this time, we drove up to KL again on a Friday night. Shopping and Malan-ing is what we do every time we are in KL.   Uncle Mike brought us to a very nice place on a Saturday night for dinner. Iberico Kitchen is located at Oasis Square, Ara Damansara , and they are famous for  Black Pig Spare Ribs .     The setting was simple, and the spacious eatery place was pretty plain without much emphasis placed on he interior design. It bears an industrial theme with rustic wood, bricks and steel all over the place. It has an open-concept kitchen with a choice for alfresco or indoor dining.   We had Iberico Pork Chop which was served with mashed potato and seasonal Ggeens. It  was pretty delicious! The meat was pretty lean, but to our surprise it remained juicy. All I can say is, best pork chop ever!   We ordered Iberico Collar Fried Rice and it tasted amazing. The f...

[short 'makan' vacation] Subang Jaya

Image
Baby and I had Pan Mee for lunchie upon reaching Subang Jaya , and we settled at this popular franchise, Kafe Jojo Little Kitchen which is located at Jalan SS15/40 . They offer a wide range of pan mee selections that will be enough for both of us to say 'WOW' There are 3 choice of noodle types to choose for our pan mee meal ( thick, thin or flat piece). I love the Blended Green Chilli with Belachan and the Dried Chilli flakes that are available on each table for diners to add in accordingly to their likings, and all these condiments really contribute the taste to the pan mee and it is definitely worth trying and mentioning. Baby had the signature Pan Mee, Jojo's Pork Pan Mee , and he selected the thick noodles... I ordered a special type of Pan Mee, Lor Pan Mee (thick noodles), and it was pretty different from the normal Lor Mee or Pan Mee Soup. The noodles are very chewy and it tasted pretty decent and I had a wonderful dining experien...
