Dim Sum & Seafood Canapés Afternoon Set at JUMBO Seafood

Image
Baby picked me up from work on a random mid-week, and we re-visited the  Super Thai Singapore by Soi Aroy  which is located at  Upper Aljunied Road again . This eatery place is pretty near our   residence, approximately less than 10-minute-drive away. They offer yummy and authentic Thai food at an affordable price. It is definitely a real hidden gem for food lovers who are seeking authentic Thai dishes! I love the  King Prawn with Vermicelli in Claypot  and  Tom Yum Seafood Soup  very much! We were at ION Orchard on a random Saturday afternoon, so Baby suggested to go for Dim Sum Afternoon Tea at JUMBO Seafood . We were so lucky to get a table without any reservation.   We started off our afternoon tea set with an aromatic pot of Wellness Tea - West Lake Dragon Well. I love the Asian spin concept on the high tea tradition, and the Dim Sum & Seafood Canapés Afternoon Set comes in two tiers. The top tier contains savory seafood cana...

[Random] All about Jess Baby's happening

Mcdonald's has again offered something to 'die for', and its none other than the 'Hello Kitty' Holder! This follows the craze from last year when they launched 'My Melody' Holder! Singapore is the first country to get this limited-edition hello kitty holder, and that explains why the cute holder was sold out within hours on the launch day.    Luckily enough, my sister-in-law Karen managed to help me obtain one! I appreciated this kind gesture immensely!   Meryl got me a set of lovely pajamas from Primark and Balea Lift Effect Concentrate from DM Pharmacy during her work flight to Berlin, German . OM! I love the pjs very much. Thanks so much for these sweet little gifts! Not to forget she got a luggage tag for Baby (@kelgindrunk) and Ritter Sport Chocolate Bar which was shared between me and Baby as well.      My colleague, Eunice got me a handy makeup mirror from Cath Kidston during her short trip to Genting Highlan...

A mini tour at Bountie Arena

Image
CK and I got the opportunity to attend the 2019 League of Legends World Championship Finals Viewing Party , all thanks to Crane’s invite! The viewing was held at the  Bountie Arena , and it was a  ‘LIVE’ telecast from Paris. I was pretty surprised by the response of the popularity of  E-sports  in Singapore. OMG! The turn-out was great, and it was a blast. Bountie Arena offers a pure gaming experience, a modernised world-class stage, many high specs PCs, various electronic darts boards, 4 VIP gaming rooms for training purposes, a 20-seater classroom for schools, corporations and other parties for their private courses, 1 Coca Cola Console Lounge and an F&B area. This is the perfect place to host corporate parties, Workshops, Media Launch, and many more! There is a feature wall made out of Tetris shapes patterned of instant noodles packets which is actually meant to be their food menu. One  of Singaporean’s favorite instant no...

My mini birthday celebration with friends and loved ones

Image
This year, my birthday falls during the Chinese New Year Period again, just as it was 3 years ago in 2014. To be honest, I'm not fond of it as most of my friends are busy preparing to welcome the New Year, and there is no time left for me at all! Therefore, I decided to arrange for a dinner date cum birthday celebration about 2 weeks before my birthday. Baby had got me a huge birthday gift - A planned 9-day holiday to the Kansai Region of Japan, which included Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, Nara and Himeji. We arrived back in Singapore a day before my actual birthday, in order to prepare myself for the Chinese New Year!   My close clique of friends decided to celebrate my birthday by eating Mookata at Nex during our gathering, and we settled at ' Charcoal Thai' . We went for the buffet, and amazingly finished 54 plates of marinated meat, vegetables, as well as other miscellaneous standard steamboat items in less than 2 hours! I personally found this feat amaz...

[food review] Thai Mookata at Huay Kwang Thai Kitchen

Image
If you are still thinking or looking for a place to have a feast, while maintaining a fair budget to celebrate this coming year end, why not consider having a Thai Mookata Feast at Huay Kwang Thai Kitchen ? This eatery place has 2 outlets in Singapore, and they are located at Upper Thomson Road and Townsend Road respectively. Huay Kwang Thai Kitchen is a Thai-Chinese fusion eatery that offers Thai Mookata. The indoor seating is reserved for regular Chinese dishes while the outdoor seats are meant for patrons who are having the Thai Mookata. As what I observed during my visit, I realised that most diners were here for their Thai Mookata, and therefore most tables at the alfresco areas are filled at night. Thanks to my blogger friend, Tracy for extending her invite to me for a food tasting session at the Townshend Road outlet. There is a 15-min walk away from Lavendar MRT station. All diners get free flow of drinks to go along with their Thai Mookata. I like the...
