Weekend Brunch at Hotel Jen Tanglin + random-ness

Image
The former Traders Hotel has been rebranded as the  Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore since last year, and I brought my Baby for a Weekend Brunch Buffet which is only available on Saturdays and Sundays at SGD63+++ per pax. We enjoyed the bank promotions for 1-for-1.   I had ' laksa' at the noodles station and I love the Oyster Omelette loads!   The buffet spread was good and pleasant. Baby enjoyed his brunch very much and   the food spread was wide and delicious too. The only downside is the dim sum selection which was pretty limited, as they only offer  Lotus Seed Steamed Buns which looked like a white rabbit.    There was an array selection of assorted cakes, cupcakes, nonya kuehs and many dessert items to choose from... I love the Chocolate Fondau! I had a good quality time spent wiith my Baby over this Sunday Brunch at Hotel Jen Tanglin. After our meal, Baby drove me ...

Post Valentine's Day Lunchie at Concetto by Saveur + Loot + sweet gifts

Image
Our weekend outing has always been good, and Baby knows that I am having a craving for pasta, So he brought me to Concetto by Saveur which lis ocated at The Cathay . We have been to Saveur a couple of times before, which is at Purvis Street . We started off our lunch with Minestrone Soup . The broth is traditionally made by parmesan cheese which gives a cheesy after-taste. I had Prawn Agilo , which I thought might have been similar to the  Sakura Prawn Angel Hair Pasta which I normally order at Saveur, but the end product was different from what I expected. It tasted much richer as the pasta was tossed in chilli oil and served with a few fresh prawns. Oh well, I still prefer to the Angel Hair Pasta as I paid lesser  but it was still much tastier. Baby had Duck Confit and it tasted good. I love the crispy skin and the meat is tender. The green pasta is excellent too! We rounded up our meal with Pistachio Panna C...

VanityTrove began its consolidation as early as mid 2012, and in July 2013, it launched South East Asia’s 1st Personalized Sampling Box. VanityTrove works with over 600 beauty brands regionally. Consumers get to choose the sample based on their unique beauty profile and at the same time reducing wastage as this is a major issue faced by many sampling programs. I attended a lovely event – Get ,Snap, Blingo Project Launch Party (GSB in short ) by VanityTrove with a group of fun-loving friends... It’s been a long time since we last met up and had fun together, and I remembered the last event was OLAY AQUCATION PARTY at WaveHouse, Sentosa. It was a delightful meet-up for us as it was more of a ladies event as all the activities lined up at the event were for girlish pampering and indulging treats for the ladies...   VanityTrove's mission is to facilitate access of beauty information by giving people the power to share and discover beauty...

Dinner at Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen aka Volcano Ramen + Jess Baby's random

Image
Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen aka Volcano Ramen is one of the most popular traditionalist ramen among the ramen lovers. It is originating from Osaka, Japan . Baby and I decided to have delicious ramen for our dinner, so we decided to visit Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen which is located at Liang Court , and their flagship store is located at Novena Square. I was attracted by the authentic Japanese-style deco in the restaurant and it filled with Japanese Culture as I walked in. There was a short queue and we waited about 15 minutes to get ourselves seated. The queue seemed to be  endless, even though we had already settled down with our orders. The space is rather small and that explains the long-waiting queue. The whole idea of Volcano erupting ramen is pretty gimmicky. The soup is poured into a pre-heated 400 degree hot stone bowl with all the ingredients and the noodles inside *Caution: FIERY HOT* The stone bowl is covered by a cone-shaped lid for one minu...
