'Our Japan Wedding' event at CHIJMES + Product view of Anessa Day Serum Sunscreen
I was selected to visit the ‘Our Japan Wedding’ which was organized by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) . The event was held at the Alcove at Caldwell House, CHIJMES. During the event, we were given information about self-drive tours to various countryside areas in Japan, and they also shared most wedding photo-shoots which were taken in Okinawa. I haven’t been to Okinawa, and I will definitely plan a trip there once Japan removes its travel restrictions for foreign travelers. Shisa is a traditional Ryukyuan cultural artifact and decoration derived from Chinese guardian lions, often seen in similar pairs from Okinawan mythology. They are found everywhere in Okinawa, as they are believed to ward off evil spirits. The Shisa symbolizes Okinawa, and we were treated to a unique Okinawan experience during the event.
