WORST Omakase Experience Ever + Postie LIVE in Singapore

Image
While it may sound pretty cheap to pay SGD130 for a 12-course Omakase experience that included a bottle of sake for two, I was quite disappointed to have experienced quite easily the worst Omakase meal I've been to. It was our first time trying out this food deal from Kris+ App , and we were both excited to see what Beppu Menken Restaurant offered to us. We didn’t expect much due to the heavily discounted price for the Omakase dinner. While I had no qualms about the quality of the food, I thought the service was quite lackluster. As I've mentioned, I did not expect much for the price, but the entire meal went for 2.5 hours which I found outrageous. Our booking was for 7.30 and the meal finished near to 10pm! Each course that was served had a long interval in between which took way too long in my opinion. Further, some other couples had entered the restaurant after us for the same Omakase deal, so the restaurant obviously tried to do it in a way whereby the dishes were served a...

[LAPCOS] Smiley World Pop-up Store Random-ness

Image
Baby and I had our dinner at LeNu , a Taiwanese noodle joint which is part of Paradise Group and it is located at VivoCity. We started off with Chilled Silken Tofu with Century Egg , which consisted of a combination of sweet and salty flavors. I love this refreshing appetiser very much as it is pretty addictive. We ordered a side dish of 2 Lava Eggs to go with our ramen. Baby had famous Taiwanese Beef Shank Noodles , and the Shank tender meat was sliced thick.  I had the Soft Pork Bone Ramen and the broth tasted amazing.  This is my first time dining at LeNu , and we had a decent meal there!  Recently, I got to know about a brand new K-Beauty, LAPCOS , and they set up their first ever pop-up store at BHG Tampines, Century Square .  This Korean leading cosmetic brand, LAPCOS,  collaborated with Disney and Smiley World and the packaging was top notch and very pretty! I'm sure most consumers would have zero resista...

[I love 90s] Retrolicious 2015

Image
I was glad to attend this year's Retrolicious concert, and this year, instead of artistes and acts from the 80's, we were treated to a spectacular show from acts from the 1990's! Retrolicious 2015 was held at Fort Canning Park and it featured Tommy Page, Color Me Badd and All-4-One who had a big impact in the music industry in the 1990s.   Color Me Badd was the first act to be on stage, and they lit up the party mood with their popular song, 'All For Love' . When they sang 'I Adore Mi Amor' , they drew cheers from the audience and they closed their set with 'I wanna Sex You Up' .    The 44 years old, Tommy Page kicked off his performance with 'Turn on the radio', and he lit up the entire concert-goers mood. He treated the crowd with a string of his chart-toppers, such as ' I'll Be Your Everything' , 'When I dream of You', 'Painting in my Mind' and 'I break Down' . ...
